Can you use a PS4 controller on the PS5 version of DBD?

I recently bought a new PS4 controller and I would like to know if it will work with DBD on the PS5. I would like to reserve my PS5 controller for other games when I get a PS5 console.

Please can someone confirm this? Thank you!

    I recall reading somewhere that ps4 controllers won’t work on ps5.

    NO. Just no, console industries are hard scammers, so, they don't like to have hardware compatible between their consoles, they prefer u buy 2 different controllers for each console, just, money, more money ;)

    Thanks guys, I read on the Sony blog that the controller should work on some games. I was curious if DBD was one of those games.

    All Xbox One peripheral devices; controllers, headsets, etc, work with the new Series X/S consoles. Sorry PS5 gamers you have to buy all new, but at least you can play DBD right now.

    wow! so nice move from them, i will guess they are loosing players and they need to do that kind of things... gg for them and for their community so . (This compabilities didn't work from Xbox to Xbox 360, and Xbox 360 to Xbox One)

    Sony confirmed the Dualshock will work on the PS5. I'm not sure if it's up to individual developers or not, though.

    I dont have problems playing DbD with a PS4 Controller on my PS5

    You can, but what I read before you can't use your PS4 controller for PS5 games.

    No you cant. Because you have 2 options. You either download ps4 version or ps5 version.

    You can play ps4 version with ps4 controller while being on ps5.

    But your ps4 controller wont work on ps5 version of dbd on ps5.

    I have to use default ps5 controller to play even tho I have 200€ Scuf I played with on ps4, but the game wont work with it anymore
