Got my 1st level 50 survivor (Feng Min) - who to level up next?
So I’m pretty new to DBD, but I’ve had a lot of free time on my hands with lockdown so I’ve really been getting in to it lately! I much prefer the survivor side of the game and have been maining Feng Min who is my first Level 50 survivor (yay 😁)
I enjoy her play style and perks but I feel it’s time for a new challenge. Though I’m not sure who to tackle next. I’d say I enjoy a fairly stealth playstyle and am still somewhat of a beginner so nobody with too steep a learning curve please. Who’s got the best perks I can master? Who should I try out next?

Meg Thomas. Adrenaline is an amazing perk to have.. Or if you have purchased any DLC, you will find out that having Laurie Strode's decisive strike is also really good.

IN MY PERSONAL OPINION THOUGH... I would go ahead and knock out the prestige 3 of the person that you think you will "main." Once you get the prestige 3, you won't need to worry about item resets from the prestige, and you can have a comfort character with perks that you want when you end up doing the prestige on other people.

Claudette, obviously, She's stealthy and has good perks. Meg then For Sprint and Adrenaline
Pick David if you love bloodpoints

I'd go for Meg or Dwight.
Meg has Sprint Burst, which is great, but if you prefer Lithe then you won't need it. Adrenaline and Quick and Quiet are very good and QnQ goes very well with Lithe.
Dwight's Bond is great, especially for newer players. Prove Thyself is handy for BP and getting gens done quicker and Leader is helpful in getting faster heals, unhooks and giving other survivors faster exit gates and totem cleanses.
Jake's Iron Will is great but has other two perks are meh so I'd wait on him.
I probably wouldn't go for Claudette either because you really don't want to become reliant on Self Care as it wastes a lot of time.

Also I would seriously think about prestiging if you decide to do it. I think it's a complete waste of time. All you get is a bloody clothing item and slightly rarer drops in your bloodweb.. Prestiging makes the grind 10x more obnoxious

I DO have Laurie actually (big Halloween fan 🎃)
I’ve played a few trials with her but I just found her a bit meh overall really. That might be because I haven’t given her a fair chance though. As for Meg I’m not sure I’ve even played as her at all, she’s definitely one I’m considering! Thanks

Yeah I’ve looked into it and while I probably will prestige at some point in the future, for now I’d like to keep Feng where she’s at and focus on building up someone else. I echo your thoughts on Claudette, she’s not my favourite character and I don’t want to spend all game self healing as so many I’ve played with tend to do. Saying that though she’s probably about as stealthy a character as one can be given her colour palette alone. I’m always losing chases against Claudette’s as a killer because they can camouflage so damn well 😆
Dwight’s one I’ll look into more for sure! A male survivor would be a nice change actually

Bill have unbreakeable and Borrowed Time
Both are S Tier perks

I'd recommend to level every character to level 40 except what ever character you like to level 50 or p3.

You'll probably want a better exhaustion perk than Lithe; that means Meg for Sprint Burst, David for Dead Hard (my favorite), or Jane for Head On.
Honestly this early on I would just look at which teachable perks I want and then level up those characters. Once you've got a lot of teachables it doesn't really matter who you're playing as. For now I would get your charactets up to level 40 for their teachables rather than going all the way to level 50.

Great perks indeed! Pretty sure his Borrowed Time has saved my ass a fair few times actually! I feel like I can always count on Bill’s to at least make the effort to save me when I’m hooked. What are the cons of playing as him in your experience, if any?

Bill is really loud when injured. And not injured. Just really loud.
Best perks in my opinion are the two common ones: Kindred and We'll Make It, and with Feng's Alert (showing You the Killer) and Lithe (easy to use speed perk), that's a solid build already, so realistically You can level up whichever Survivor You like personally. without regards to their perks :)
But my recommendation would be Dwight. Two of his perks are amazing for beginners: Bond lets You see Your teammates, so You know who to help, where to go if You need help, help You decide whether to stay on the generator or You see someone else going for a save. And the second perk, Prove Thyself, is a nice and easy source of Bloodpoints. Also helps You do generators faster and with other Survivor; chances are if Killer interrupts You they will go for the other Survivor, leaving You alone ;)

David King because "we gonna live forever" can get you double bloodpoints every match witch speeds up your leveling 😉

I'm reeeeeally surprised nobody has said Jake yet. Jake is hands down the BEST stealth survivor. Iron Will makes it so that you make no noise when injured, so you can still hide without being given away by your groans of pain. Calm Spirit is pretty decent too when it comes to stealth, you don't alert crows and you don't scream, so it counters Doctor who is the biggest counter killer to a stealth survivor. His other perk, Saboteur, isn't as good as it used to be... But it's still fun to meme around with in certain situations.
I went from being a feng main when I first started to being a Jake main, actually, because I loved his perks so much!

Jake for Iron Will
Meg for Quick and Quiet
I love combining these 2 perks and getting away every time before they think you'd stay at loop when you quicky (and quietly) jumped a window and vanished from sight

I leveled everyone between 40 and 50 before prestiging. Then I knocked out every perk onto Cheryl.
For regular leveling though, Meg, Bill, and Jake have some of the best perks in the game. Dwight too with Prove Thyself. Claudette for healing and aura reading. All of the base characters are useful.
