I need tips for Nurse
I figured she'd be okay to learn and play, but so far I've been put through hell.
about 12 matches played, 5 kills total, one because a Nea pitied me, one because of a mori, and the others because I camped and tunneled.
I really need help on how to play her.

One of the main mistakes I see people do when they first start out with Nurse is they try to use their first blink to get a hit, your first blink is almost always used as a setup, you want to use that blink to elimate most options for the survivor and make you guess less, and your 2nd blink used as the lethal blow.

I try to do this but several things can happen:
A. The survivor doubles back before I can react
B. The survivor breaks line of sight
C. I don't blink close enough to the survivor to close the distance (this happens the most often)
D. I overshoot the blink and the survivor changes direction
E. The survivor makes an unpredictable movement and I miss the second blink
F. I get an easy opportunity for a hit from the first blink

Use the Plaid Flannel addon when you are new to learn where you will go with your blinks. Watch some Nurse vids on youtube also it helps understanding how to play, where to blink etc.

The majority of things you just said implies you dont use your first blink as a setup.
A. If a survivor has some distance on you, dont fully charge 1 blink in his direction, half charge and cut the distance in the half, then react accordingly.
B. As Nurse you want to put yourself in a situation where you dont need to guess. If you see a survivor run behind cover dont blink through it, blink next to it. If they double back youll catch them and if they dont use your 2nd blink to catch them.
C. Thats just something youll need the practice, but luckily its one of the easiest things to learn
D. Same thing as A, use your first blink to cut the distance between you and the survivor in half
E. Some survivors have a pattern, try to look out for them
F. If you get an easy opportunity to get a hit with your first blink, go for it. How ever if the survivor is injured dont attack too soon as they might have Dead Hard

Time and experience are the greatest teachers with Nurse. She takes a lot of repetition to gain the muscle memory. I strongly advise against Plaid Flannel like others will probably suggest. You'll need to get the muscle memory down at some point.
Add ons that reduce fatigue can be helpful when starting out, because you're going to missing a lot.
For perks when you're learning her, take as many slowdowns as you need. Don't fall into the mindset of "Nurses don't need slowdowns" when you're just starting out. You'll eventually get to that point, but for now, you need the game to last as long as possible so you can practice your blinks.
For the blinks themselves: your first blink gets you close, and the second blink is usually a corrective blink for a hit. Landing a first blink hit requires a lot of experience that you won't have yet and going for them can actually hurt you.
Looking up can increase your blink distance, and looking down will shorten it. Looking down to artificially cancel your blinks can bail you out and also function as a mindgame. Be careful doing that around the basement though.
When a survivor breaks line of sight, blink to the corner and look for them. They either doubled back or kept running. You don't want to predict the survivor movement all the time. This will burn you against good players who react to you. You want to blink slightly behind where they would be if they kept running and about where they would be if they stopped to double back. That positions you to land the second blink for either move.
In open spaces: pay attention to where survivors are looking when you charge your blinks. They will give away their double-back moves 99% of the time. If they're looking back at you, they're more than likely going to try to double back. Charge the blink to about 70% of the distance to them and let it go.
This is a video guide from one of the best Nurse players out there. He recently got 100 4ks in a row. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPQb8B7pMIM&t=1245s

ohtofu has a great nurse guide...
use plad flannel for about 20-30 games when you have the hang of it stop using it.
shadowborn can help but is addictive I suggest against it so you can have more interesting builds in the future.
also... be sure to slug, I've often turned a loss into a 3-4k because survivors rush and think I can’t blink and slug them all.
just practice she’s worth learning. I play her sometimes and she’s insanely fun; however I like playing chase killers more for the loop interactions.

I was gonna recommend the Nurse guide by OhTofu but I see someone has beaten me to it! It’s a great overview and gives you stats, tips and general strats. Beyond that it’s just practice and learning by doing.

Yeah Tofu has one of the best nurse guides out there. The problem with the nurse is that she requires far more practice than any other killer in DBD, and if you don't have the time to invest into practicing with her, then I would highly suggest using another killer. I always fancied using her, but I only have a few hours a day to play games, and I really don't want to use that time to practice and grind over and over. I'd much rather tackle a killer that's easier to access, or who's mechanics are easier to grasp. For example Freddy is one of my mains and he's listed as being hard, but his mechanics are fairly simple to understand.

Listen, you're going to fail with Nurse. It's not unusual for people to not even be able to land a single hit for dozens of matches because of how hard she is.
Don't be discouraged. Every game is about learning, not winning.

The most basic and probably the most important tip:
Use the first blink to get close to survivors and the second to go for a hit.

Play her, and stick to her. Experience is the best teacher on Nurse, no need to learn counter loops when you just tp through them.

This two, and also bring some aura reading perks (BBQ is fine on its own). Information is extremely important for Nurse just as for Spirit, Hag or Demo and knowing where you can start a chase is fantastic. Also fog clearers are okay since stealth is deadly for Nurse because of her slow movement speed; Urban Evasion gamers destroy her.

Step 1: pick another killer. Literally ANY other killer.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: profit.

As someone currently trying to learn her on PS4, patience, patience and more paitence. You'll fail. A lot. And by a lot I mean say goodbye to your rank! I've gone from Rank 10 to 13 because I'm so awful with her, but I'm going to persist because I love Nurse. I get lucky and maybe get 1 kill, but it take a ton of practice to get Blinks down to a T. Using the Plaid add-on to see the location you'll blink really helps too.
