What's your favourite non-meta perk?

Favorite perk has to be Kindred. This perk gives so information and definitely saved me from situations that would've sacrificed me if I didn't have this perk so it's a must for my build

Spine Chill, Save the best for last and I'm all ears for me.
0 -
Breakdown because even if I get hooked at least I can still contribute to my team
0 -
Bond doesn't get enough credit, especially how good it is for solo survivor
1 -
Autodidact. It's literally perfect for my name XD
0 -
I love aftercare.

Is Desperate Measures Meta or Non-Meta?
I just simply can’t go without that perk.
2 -
My favorite perk already happens to be a non meta one and that's Bond.
For killer I love STBFL.

Bloodhound is not a bad perk It helps with tracking, also it counters iron will and helps to find slugs
Ace in the hole + Plunderer's are superior, But tenacity is a great perk and a good alternative to unbreakable. Also Detective's hunch is a great way to not be worried about hexes and it combines great with maps you loot with plunderers

Tinkerer is actually part of the meta right now, along the Ruin/Undying combo.
Still an amazing perk by itself.

Killer: Coulrophobia. (plus anything that inflicts Mangled).
Survivor: Bond (plus Open Handed).

I kind of dig stakeout for survivor. Little boosts to gens plus faster healing if you get the checks, I just dig it.
For killer agitation is a nice curveball on the slower killers to snag a couple extra hits and get the basement.
0 -
Oh god I never thought I'd see the day where my Tinkerer is meta. What a strange year we are in.

After a short break I'm back on dbd and I'm loving running spies from the shadows on bubba
0 -
Coulrophobia and Deathbound works like a charm on Legion. Let's see you self care now, Claudette >:D
1 -
Spies on Spirit? I never considered running that, I might just give it a try.

While I don't use it too much. I think Botany Knowledge is seriously slept on as an overall self and team healing perk. Outright counters Sloppy and in turn Thano pretty hard. Lets you get almost a heal and a half off a brown medkit. Even better with Felixs duarbility perks.
It can make you completely self sufficent healing wise and it even makes self care viable.

Fire up bamboozle micheal is one of the most fun builds for him imo.

I kinda wanna add coup de gra to it. Just think of how scary it would be to have a Myers supervault a window then fly at you with his knife. Vault master sniper

I can;t wait to see how awkward the animations look for that. Considering how many characters just take one large stride during their lunge.

100% my favorite underrated perk that I hardly ever see ran, other than myself, is Wake Up. Being able to open up Exit Gates quicker and have teammates being chased know where to run can come in clutch. Running Spine Chill paired with someone else's Leader nearby helps a lot too.

Fixated. When I'm into repairing gens and playing stealthy. As soon as I hear the heartbeat, I walk away as far as I can, hiding behind obstacles, the killer can't predict that I'm that far away already and wastes his time searching me near the gen. I can repeat it with the same gen 4-5 times, making the Killer go nuts.

Huntress Lullaby and Calm Spirit

You know is only 3 secs, didn't you?

For survivor, my favorite perk is Spine Chill. Why? Go watch Pain Relievers and you'll know why lmao. I wouldn't necessarily say it's off-meta tho. It's god tier powerful, but no one uses it, for some odd reason (ok with this as killer lmao)
If we are talking REAL off-meta, it's gotta be Autodidact.
For killer, my favorite perk has got to be STBFL, but again, it's like Spine Chill: it's really really good, but no one uses it.
If we are talking REAL off-meta, it's gotta be either Deathbound or Knock Out

Are Tapp's perks meta? Because they're all really good. I always run tenacity with flip flop aswell as they have good synergy
0 -
I wouldn't classify any of Tapp's perks as meta, they just have good synergy with some meta perks.

The aura reading from Wake Up is nice, but they really need to buff the speed at which the gates open to maybe like 100% or 200%. I think if you're dedicating an entire perk slot for one small thing at the end of the game, it should do it really well. I'd love to run it if you could fully open an exit gate in 5 seconds, that'd be nuts. People might argue that'd be overpowered, but it's a one-shot perk (most of the time, unless you open both gates) like Adrenaline which sends you into a 5 second sprint and instantly heals you.
I could go into a whole rant about the lack of interesting (and viable) end-game perks, but we'd be here all day.

For the People is one of my favorite perks.

Tenacity. The amount of dumb stuff I've been able to get away with by using Tenacity is insane. It has saved my ass so many times. I remember one game where a Nurse downed me and had a longer stun. Within that time I crawled slightly to the left and she managed to slide every direction except for the one I went. She lost me and I got picked up. Highlight of my life right there.

Calm Spirit as a Survivor, and Thrill of the Hunt as a Killer.

It's not a single perk but 3 perks mixed, ace in the hole, pharmacy and plunderers instinct, I only play it when I come over to my friend bc I don't have Quentin and I don't have ace leveled up but it's a really good mix plus if you escape you still get the medkit

I never really got the appeal of Calm Spirit, do people run it to counter stuff like Infectious and Doc or do they just really like crows?
0 -
Solidarity. Cuts down on healing immensely.

I use it to counter LOTS of things. But let me put it this way, if you watch the videos put up by the Ace killers like Otz, Monto, and their ilk, you will see that they spot Survivors by crows all the time without Perks. They can hear or spot that movement half a map away. That is why I started taking it. The fact that it helps against the Doc, Make your Choice, Iron Maiden, and a lot of other things besides, is just icing on the cake. I just wish there was a version of this Perk for the Killer. Crows warn my Survivors all the time.

Fair enough, you make a pretty good case for the perk.
They should totally make Spies from the Shadows stop killers from alerting the crows, that'd be pretty decent on stealth killers.

For survivor I love Red Herring, because its just funny to watch a Freddy teleport to your gen and get nothing.
For killer it would be Bitter MurMur because some survivors go to like a structure near the gen to hide and its a little funny to watch them panic especially when i play wraith.
1 -
Bitter Murmur is still an incredibly useful perk, and it surprises me that it gets forgotten about by so many killers.
Cruel Limits isn’t considered a particularly great perk, but depending on the map, Bitter Murmur + Cruel Limits can work beautifully together.

Pebble - Diversion. For obvious reasons.

SOUL GAURD. it's the best to soul gaurd in the killers face and take the endurance hit + I get to scream SOUL GAURD!!! In my discord call

alert as it’s an amazing tracking perk, and maybe to you it’s a meta but haunted grounds as they always seem to cleanse it at a good time for me

I just had a clown wreck are team by using mind breaker and gas it was impressive

Thrilling Tremors don't get me wrong blocking the gens is cool but the tracking is what I like any gen not white is being worked on so you know exactly where to go. Last night there were 2 survivors left, I downed one had no clue where the other was or where hatch was got the bright idea to pick the survivor up and drop him to activate TT and behold a red gen I head over and game over. I love brutal strength as well kicking gens, pallets, and those pesky breakable walls much faster always excites me.
Survivor - It's most def Inner strength and Head on combo. I fast run into a locker heal and stun. So buautiful.
0 -
I'm all ears baby! Wall hacks in loops are pretty strong.
Alert, seriously good perk considering how much breaking killers do, definitely worth using.

As survivor, I love Open Handead, as I love using aura reading perks and it gives me so much knowledge.
As killer, I love Distressing (easy bloodpoints) and people are never sure of where you really are.

Rancor, information throws survivors off guard and endgame mori is so fun!

Head on. Gotta love spooking the spooky people.

Aftercare for me. 🙂
I love to keep track of all my teammates. Just need to be extra careful not to lose it.
0 -
Ah yeah, Aftercare doesn't get enough love. Being able to see your entire team is pretty neat.
