Kindred, Windows of opportunity, spine chill, and alert/OoO is quite possibly the best information build there is. Naturally the downside is that you have no exhaustion perks or second chance perks, but sometimes for fun I'll run an all information build, and it can definitely help if you're into playing stealthily.
It just sucks that perks that are best at helping new players are tied into paid DLC. DBD is pay to win, plain and simple. Obviously practicing goes a long way, but if you want an easier time you're going to have to fork over money for better perks.😕

Would be even better if it didn't have that pointless cooldown and was in general perks pool, so new players could actually use it...

Yeah I don't understand the cool down either, but maxed out it's a cool down of only 20 seconds or something like that. But I guess to play devil's advocate, I could see how incredibly difficult it could be trying to chase down a survivor that knows where every palette and window is at all times too.

Agree but luckily cooldwon lasts shortly and I mean for new players it's definitely amazing perks knowing every pallet and window during chase that's how you learn map design

Agree and when I first came to game with windows of opportunity I learned every map design and loop

I still use it even after 2 years of playing the game. It's fantastic in solo when I have no clue what pallets have already been thrown. It's saved me so many times!

Wop is life savior in maps such as the meat plant and I do use it sometimes as well

I love Windows of Opportunity. I run a meme build with it and Any Means Necessary. It is the most unrated perk and definitely holds it weight

I would say that it wouldn't be all that different without a cooldown, people already know where windows are, it's only useful for knowing if you're in a dead zone or not, or with Any Means Necessary.

You're right, it's amazing for new players, the problem is that it's locked behind a DLC or enormous grind.

Yeah but it's purchaseable with shards and it's actually dlc worth of idk how it costs I think whole dlc with survivor and killer is like 4-5 dollars I would say not that just the kate is gorgeous she have amazing outfits decent perks they're not meta but decent and killer who has great perks and power

I've been running Windows of Opportunity a bunch recently just to mix things up, and I've been really enjoying it so far. It's super nice to be able to see if the maze tile you're moving toward still has its pallet available, plus I've gotten a lot better at chaining tiles together effectively while using it.
I know the devs occasionally like to make some newbie-friendly perks (even if many of these kinda fail at their job just by being locked as DLC teachable perks), but I'd be willing to say WOO is probably one of the benchmark examples of how "newbie perks" should be designed. It's useful for less experienced survivors while still offering some value for veteran players.

Tbh I just recently stopped using it this perk helped me so much I literally learned whole maps design's with it and in dark maps it was life savior

Some players have been using it since day 1 (unlike tru3).
As you can tell by the date I posted the clip back in 2019 / before Tru3 even knew what the perk did.
Please don't act like all players were literal copies of streamers.

I didn't mean to sound aggressive.
I just can't stand when people act like streamers came up with ideas, builds etc. when there are like thousands of people trying/using the same ideas/builds (often before them) as it sounds like you're trying to say people are not smart enough to figure out stuff themselves and need the "wisdom" of a streamer.

I love WoO, I actually think it works much better for intermediate players than it does for new players. It is good for learning tiles and spawn locations, but new players don't know what to do with those tiles or other basic fundamentals like looking behind in chase., so a newer player will just carelessly burn through pallets and are better off just watching youtube videos to learn pallet spawns and understanding tiles. But I find the perk helps tremendously with things like pathing and stringing tiles together, and as previously mentioned it's valuable as a solo player to know what is still up. Great perk, more survivors should run it.

I (now) often run Bond, Open Handed, Visionary, and WoO. It gives me all the information I need to be always helpful, and know a lot about what is happening, and where to actually go.
Visionary in particular is an absolute life saver on Midwich, Lery’s, or Hawkins, because sometimes when it’s down to the last 3 or 4 gens they can be an absolute pain to find.

But getting back on topic, yes WoO is seriously underrated. It’s more than just a beginner perk. As a solo player it’s a life saver being able to stop myself from accidentally running into a dead zone during a chase because another survivor used up all the pallets there earlier.

It's a great perk for experienced players, too. Maps are RNG generated, after all, and though you may know all the tiles like the back of your hand, it's good to know what you cannot see.

Fair enough of you to assume that because it's coincidence but I really don't watch that youtuber I didn't knew he started using this perk lol it's more that I've been kate main since start and had used this perk a lot and just wanted to give suggestions to players who are still learning map designs

I had to stop running that build. Too much information on smaller maps. It literally handicaps me, especially WoO and Bond. Big respect for sticking with it.

I love it.
I can be anywhere in Midwich and almost always see everything I need everywhere.
Sometimes i’ll take out Open Handed and use Buckle Up for even more info.

But the damn headache. I'm more of an in-the-moment gamer. My HuD lighting up that much stuff is (as I found out) my absolute nightmare.

I do think it's a great perk especially when new maps are released (which in fairness is probably the time I use it). I struggle with aura's and find the aura of the pallets very distracting in a regular match but I think that's to do with the fact that I know a pallet is at a particular location etc so I don't really need to see an aura of where it is.

I've added the perk to my build recently (yes I watch Tru3) and I think I'm addicted to it now. Knowing which pallets have been used and which variations of tiles/buildings have spawned beforehand has really helped me extend chases. As solo, I use it with Kindred, DH and Spine Chill.
