Why doesn't BHVR focus on pumping out more high quality skins?
It is obvious and clear that BHVR puts great importance on character outfits because that's the thing that makes them big money. However, having said that, it's odd when you realize just how few skins there really are in this game and how rarely we get new ones. And most of all, how few of them actually stand out, most of them are just minor color changes or simplistic new trouser or shirt designs with not much imagination.
Don't get me wrong, I think that there are some amazing skins in the game but it's weird how come they clearly have a team of dedicated skin designers but mostly come out with mediocre stuff that you would see in some mobile games and yet you are required to pay around 5-10€ per skin, it's ridiculous.
I would love to see more skins more often, bigger variety, more imagination put into them. For god's sake, why not give us an engineer Dwight skin, or gothic/emo stuff, or steam punk, sci-fi, whatever, there's so much potential, but we mostly get generic stuff I can find from a real clothing store.

Most likely cause of the Rift making the art team have to rush with cosmetics
Also expect someone to say "THeY nEEd To fOcUs oN bUgS nOt CoSmEtIcS" and say that like the art team is supposed to focus on something they don't specialize in

As a musician, I can crank out songs like the flow of water. Along with this flow comes seasons of drought. I imagine it’s the same for all creative artists, even those on the graphic design team.
Not every melody will satisfy everyone’s tastes, and not every song on the album will be a hit.
I understand exactly what you mean regarding the similarities in outfits. There are those that light me up in every way, then I expect more of those.
The outfits that are merely recolors are like remixed music tracks; same base product just a different flavour to it.
Tho, with each album, the objective is to supersede what was done on previous records while staying true to who you are as an artist. So, one would expect there would be more hits to the design team’s customizations as opposed to the high level of remixes they have generated over time.

I wish they were making more skins as well. I think they’re going to start making up for it with releasing the old Tome skins.

That's an interesting explanation

Art team: “Hey can we get more time to make higher quality cosmetics?”
Bhvr: “No. Focus on the rift.”
Art team: “Understandable have a nice day.”

they are not the same people who make rift and cosmetics.

why put good, high qaulity outfits that took time to design when you can throw a palette swap on the default meg hat for the 10th time and use that to help fill and bloat out the rift

I'd rather have a bunch of good regular clothes then too many themed outfits. I don't know about you but I like ot mix and match and with themed stuff you're kinda limited to that outfit, unless it miraculously matched with a piece from another outfit.
I personally buy skins cause I care about how my characters look as trivial as that sounds lol. I haven't bought any themed outfits from what i recall or if I did I bought 1 piece that might match with something else.

I hope we will get new character models... sometime 😉

They could not release rifts back to back.

I love me some skins. I agree there should be more and I'm surprised there aren't. I think the Tome kinda destroyed the game, especially as a solo survivor, and I would have much rather had a quickly rotating shop with all these skins than the Tome which causes people to throw games just to get challenges done.

I’d put bugs, optimisation and content over skins. Also I don’t want skins being too out place or it just becomes fortnite.
