Killers in desperate need of a rework ideas (Part 1)

In this post I will go over the killer I personally think are in desperate need of a rework, either due to the fact that they are too weak or boring to play as.

The Pig:

Reverse bear traps are guaranteed 100% to kill the survivors after 3 minutes of being activated {put on the survivor}, in order to remove the said trap the survivor must find a hidden key {These keys will spawn randomly} that can only be used by another Survivor to free them. {this encourages teamwork, and more objectives}.

Her ambush ability applies a deadly poison to the victim and if not cured after 5 minutes will kill them triggering a Mori animation, the cure is a special antidote always found in the basement chest.

This is a small rework to her power that I think will benefit her a lot, it’ll make her a threat {try booping the snoot now}

The Demogorgon:

New power: The Upside down, {this will work like Freddy’s dream-world}  if the survivors step into one of your portals, or if you drag them into the Upside down after downing them, they will find themselves in a corrupted version of the map, and will suffer from the {Broken, Exhausted, Hemorrhage, Hindered, and Oblivious} status effects, you will be granted the Undetectable status whilst in the Upside Down killer instinct will also be applied, allowing you to know where all survivors in the upside down are.

In order to escape from the upside down the Survivors must find a highlighted portal, the Demogorgon can freely move through both the real world and the upside down through the use of portals.

The Clown:

Afterpiece Tonic now applies an insidious poison effect, survivors affected by this toxin will begin to giggle revealing their location, if exposed to more of the toxin they will begin to suffer from the {Hemorrhage, Oblivious, and Exhausted} status effects all the while laughing louder increasing the distance they can be tracked.

Once exposed for a third time to the deadly toxin the Hindered status effect will be applied, every time you hit out a survivor letting a laugh the survivors within your terror radius will let out a distorted gargle between a scream of agony and a joyful laugh revealing their auras.

In order for the survivors to cure this toxin they must find the antidote inside the Basement chest.

The Wraith:

While in stealth you are able to stalk survivors, once fully stalked they will have their aura revealed to you for the rest of the trial.

When ringing your bell survivors that have been fully stalked are cursed with the {Oblivious} status effect.

New passive ability: Bathe in Blood.

The more survivors you have injured/ hooked/ put in the dying state gives you strength. 4: you have permanent increased movement speed while in stealth, 8: you let out a terrifying cry of anger when uncloaking, causing the survivors to scream in terror, 12:The Hour of Retribution

The Hour of Retribution: you are full of anger and vengeance against society and those who have wronged you, all survivors suffer from the {exposed} status effect and their suffering can be heard from a greater distance. Once The Wraith in this state the entity’s voice can be heard by all in the trial saying “The Hour of Retribution is upon us!”

  • Why these 4 killers? I personally find them underwhelming and weak to play and I believe they have so much more potential!

Your Pig ambush idea seems highly problematic. You ambush one or two people and then camp the basement. It takes the issue of camping a box and magnifies it a lot.

But I like current demo :(

All he needs is for his portals to receive a considerable buff, and a general add-on rework.

My own thought for Pig, assuming no total overhaul of her powers, was have every Jigsaw Box be fully random but, the odds increase for each failed search. So with four boxes at the start, the first box has a 25% chance of being the one to unlock the trap, the second 50/50, third 75%, and last guaranteed. I'm honestly not sure if that makes the RNG nature of the Pig better or worse, but it does seem like it would be more consistent.

I've also seen the suggestion of making her pink "box auras are invisible until the trap activates" addon base kit.

Giving the traps a set, no matter what time limit or introducing a poison that forces survivors into a consistent, very specific place seems like a bad idea on the grounds it encourages tunneling a hatted Survivor until time runs out or, as mentioned already, camping the consistent, very specific place once you've got some hits in.

The Demogorgon stuff sounds like an actual instant win button.

The thing about reworking a killer is, ideally, the Survivors are still supposed to have a chance of surviving.

Myers, he's obviously an outdated killer, needs to much build-up and in the 2020 meta landscape has little to no strength; also it's just an m1 killer with temporary instadown, no chase nor more importantly map pressure.

    Demogorgon is fine imo.
