AFK killers
What can we do against afk killers except for reporting them?
I find it so damn frustrating, considering also the fact that almost all the afkers are running the insidious perk... I don't really mind if they want to farm xp or play like this, but alteast give survivors a chance to preserve pips.
I've lost so many pips this way that I'm starting to get mad...
Do you have any tips? :(

Just try to find them. If they are a cloaked wraith you are just screwed. But if it's just an insidious trapper just standing there, you can still get chase and bold points going in front of him.
Start doing gens, if you haven't seen the killer in forever and think he's afk go find him. Mess around with him a bit then go back to gens and opening chests. If you bring a flashlight you can blind him for more points.
Hopefully doing this can at least get you a safety pip. I don't know how often you go against afk killers but a safety pip is better than nothing

Insidious can have its uses, albeit niche. As far as I can think of, its really only basement Bubba or other 1-shot killers that its kinda gross on. Do you have other problems with it?

It is silly if you can escape and still depip. I know that you could potentially do nothing all match other than urban evade in a corner but if you have put some progress into a couple of gens AND escape, the black pip should be guaranteed.
Same problem for slugging killers of course. But that's there own doing.

i tried playing with two friends (new / havent played in a long time, so both rank 20) and the killers we got were all AFK.
we literally stopped playing and went to a custome game, because all the killers would do each match was sit AFK in one spot, then get NOED and down someone who was trying to get some points in order to facecamp them afterwards.
(one of them was a super obvious bot btw. a Huntress that just stood still and spammed M1 in the same direction, unless someone was in her direct LoS which was when she super weirdls snapped over to the player to hit and then immedately snapped back to facing nothing again)
honestly, i feel like the Devs really gotta do sthg about that.
its really just no fun facing farm bot after farm bot...
imagine that being your introdiction to this game,wouldnt that be absolutely horrible? - i would probaply just think "######### is this broken game" and leave again, honestly.

Camping isn't inherently bad. You can use it to stealth by a gen for example to see if yo hid well enough to catch someone off guard. There's nothing wrong with camping. Against certain teams it'll lose you the game, against others they'll get punished. Its a risk-reward.

If so, run Kindred.
If not, then you're making a RIDICULOUS complaint. Honestly. If someone is doing AFK Myers or something, DO GENS! And bring an Azarov's offering if you're really that concerned.

Well, to all the people that commented with "just do gens and escape", "get free points and gg" I say that It's not working.
I'm actually rank 4 and everytime that this happens I just do gens and escape, but the pip is automaticaly lost!
there is nothing I can do about, also because, like I said before, if I find the killer but he's using indisious I can't even get points for chase :(
Sometimes I look for totems or chests but other surv just open the exits so I have to escape before the time ends.
This mechanic is really sick, hope they will ban those kind of players

In itself, going AFK is not bannable as sometimes IRL emergencies or other things might be happenin. If this is a repeated behavior that has been repeatedly reported over the course of several games, it can become a bannable offense. BUT granted, it needs to be the same person doing it over and over again for it to be repetitive behavior.

If this is not what you mean and you might mean camping, that's a tactic that's allowed. A player camps a survivor on the hook to ensure their death.

its probably some killer that are not happy with the change they put for the week end monday all of the afk will go back to play normally meanwhile im busy playing wraith whitout uncloaking

It is not an issue. It rarely happens and when it does, you can still get BP a few different ways. YOu may depip, but who cases.
What does that pip get you? Nothing
What does pip loss do to you? - Nothing

It's sort of meme-y but using insidious to counter BT; see someone going for the hook, stand still, until unhook completes, and continue chase. BT isn't incredibly popular anymore, though, so it's not all that great.

I still see BT and BT abusers a lot in my games, so I guess that's just a difference in experience. Yeah you could do that but taking into account the time it takes for Insidious to activate then the time for the TR to actually decrease enough (to my knowledge it doesn't immediately shut off but get smaller over a second or two) its probably not amazing, so yeah a little meme-y like you said lol.

Insidious is handy on Hag for mind gaming. It helps to make a survivor think she had teleported away in some cases.

It is an issue, if I come to play and it's a waste of time. I don't give a ######### about pips. All I care about is the BP and "fun", and to go AFK on purpose, and especially with insidious or as wraith hiding somewhere is a real selfish move and I report every damn time I come across them.
I think the BEST thing to do is to give players the points or shards of the person that is AFK or at the very least remove the ability to earn experience while being AFK. That would fix it for the most part.

My advice, stop caring about pipping and either alt f4 or do gens.
Also report them.
