If BL were to be removed permanently, what changes would you make to Beast of Prey?
Beast of Prey is a bloodlust reliant perk, with BL being disabled temporarily and possibly being removed in the future, what changes would you like to be made with the perk?
For example, I would change it so that you gain the undetectable status effect for 10/20/30 seconds while you've been in a chase for 10 seconds. To balance it, I would give it a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.
What change would you like to see?

Activate it with a button press and give it a cooldown.

So something like budget Ghost Face?

Make Beast Of Prey have Bloodlust then
Bloodlust really wasn’t an OP mechanic, just an annoying one. Putting it behind a perk will make a free character have a noob friendly perk, as good killers will not need this perk for chasing while newer players do

This is probably the simplest answer. Stake Out did something similar when they nerfed the additional gen progress from hitting Great Skill Checks.

Yup.

Its also my favorite I have thought of, just because BloodLust is an interesting feature

Activate via pushing the active ability button (same as DH) to give yourself undetectable for ~5 seconds. This will cause a mapwide eagle screech. This has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.

So make it borderline OP and let you catch survivors without making any effort? LMAO I am glad you are not a game designer of DBD.

Rework: After chasing a survivor for 15 seconds gain the undetectable status effect.
So it's basically unchanged because you gain bloodlust after chasing someone for 15 seconds.

Passive perk. No red stain. More chaser points. Boom. Actually useful. No 2 or 3 unnecessary triggers like Surge or other perks. Useable for pretty much any killer to get some use out of.

That would be the best change imo.
I would actually use it if it worked like that

Umm... Maybe gain 2% increased movement speed for each dead survivor, and survivors who 'escape' a chase with you have their aura revealed for A/B/C seconds, or for B seconds with X/Y/Z cooldown?

Completely removing the red stain sounds a bit too strong imo

Just give it the bloodlust effect

Why did you stop?
- After 20 seconds you see survivors' auras within a 48m radius
- After 25 seconds, all generators within 36m begin regressing at 300% speed
- After 30 seconds, the chased survivor spontaneously combusts*.
*If the survivor is within 8m of another survivor or pallet, those explode as well.
Your idea is just plain silly: BoP required 15 seconds for Undetectable, which was the time requirement for BL1.
Now your perk would somehow allow:
- Undetectable for free (what chase ever lasts less than 5 second chase against an uninjured survivor?)
- to disable Borrowed Time protection against hook camps (which requires the killer to be detectable),
- Give you a 1% percent improvement from the speed of previous BL1, and shave 5s from when it triggers
- Also give you a 40% lung distance increase (#########?)
Seriously , did you even think this through for the same 15s it used to take BoP to activate before you typed this nonsense. Your 1st benefit (see 2nd bullet) alone would create a killer perk that is insanely insanely strong. A miniscule 5 second chase for arguably the strongest killer status in DBD, (when Insidious requires 4s of standing still for the same effect) and you also want to grant a stackable speed boost, and an increased lunge range? Did you even think what this perk would do to Myers in EW3? The lunge increase would bring Myers' lunge to effectively more than double the survivors speed during the 0.6 seconds his lunge is open.

In my opinion yes.
And the thing with ruin+undying and BBQ is that the player actually has to make informed decisions in order to get a use out of them which wouldn't be the case with that beast of prey rework.

How about just changing it to give the same effect that Bloodlust gave you. After 15 seconds you gain a token that increases your movement speed. If you hit a target you lose your tokens.

Here's how I'd change Beast of Prey:
When you hit a survivor, they get the deafened effect for 15 seconds and cannot see the killer's red stain. The heartbeat is right on top of you for the duration of the effect.
Go ahead and lose track of the killer, prey. Whatcha gonna do? Gonna run like a little rabbit or scurry off into a hidey hole?

If they remove bloodlust they will see a decrease in the killer base just like it happen during this week end

I would make Beast of Prey just disable red stain when in chase.

That would be worse. The movement speed wouldn't be fun to play against, and the secondary effect would be good, but not enough for a perk slot. Simple fix, 1.25% increase in movement speed for every survivor injured. Eventually you would have 4 stacks, and go 5 percent faster. It would be a good perk to use on killers like legion, plague or killers that like to keep survivors injured, like most M1 killers and Oni. Simple, but effective. Need more perks like this.

Have Beast of Prey apply bloodlust. If bloodlust was something you needed in a chase you could equip the perk to use it, if bloodlust is something that screws you over thanks to it triggering fps drops you could avoid it by not using that perk.

That's already in the game under trail of torment. Detaching it from having to kick a gen would be way too strong. Leatherface who can go undetectable on command? Sounds broken to me.
Trail of torment is kept in check by being unable to be stacked with ruin/undying, and using pop with it isn't optimal since you want the gen to be able to regress as long as possible.

Just straight up remove the Terror radius permanently?
Hello??

Yeahhhh there's a reason I'm not a dev lol. I like your idea tho, it's like thana but for quick feets.

I want balanced perks. The suggested one is passively making you a machine which is stupid. No skill involved.
