I have to ask about bloodlust
Why is bloodlust getting removed for a "test" but thinks like decisive strike are not.
I don't think bloodlust is complained about no where near as much as DS and I'm pretty sure bloodlust has less of an impact than DS.
So why bloodlust and not a potential change to DS

Bloodlust was introduce to counter strong loops before all the map reworks and other balance changes. It is present in every match and the devs want to see the effect of it compared to when it’s not active.
DS can be monitored pretty well because there are plenty of survs not using it all the time. They can already see the effect of the perk on the matches and are probably fine with it.
keep in mind they have to think about all ranks and skill levels, and DS (on its own) is not as strong as many people say it is. You have to bring looping skills and possibly other perks to make it as strong perk.

because the devs dont get how their game works, so many more infinites and even on reworked maps having spinechill and resilience makes some basic loops infinites till the killer breaks the pallet. imagine being able to sit at a pallet and just keep vaulting it till the killer breaks it and call that gameplay lol

Because they want to test the effects of bloodlust on current maps. They don't want to test DS.
They have had their eye on bloodlust for a long time and just want to see how they are doing on map design.

While I appreciate them being willing to experiment with things like this at all... I hope they never become triage nurses. The guy with the runny nose would be getting in before the guy with five gunshot wounds.

In all fairness, they should have had their eye on DS, it’s been changed so many times and still been the worst thing to exist in what, 4 years?

They don't have their eye on tunneling either, so that's why I call it one problem to balance another.

Bloodlust was introduced as a band aid fix to combat infinites and insanely strong loops.
The devs just wanted to test if the map reworks are good enough to warrant the removal of bloodlust.
And comparing bloodlust with DS is comparing apples with oranges. One thing has nothing to do with the other one

Isn’t that what I was saying?

oh boy I do wounder why DS wont get disabled....

You really have to wonder?
they can get statistics about DS performance in matches right now. There are plenty of survs not running DS.
why would they disable DS??

Why wouldn’t they, it’s the worst part of the game, the most unfun

Well considering DS was bugged not that long ago and killers just tunneled their little hearts out I'd say they already got all the data they needed on that sadly , people get salty about changes and start bringing Moris not realizing that the data is gonna show alot of 4ks and then wonder why things don't get changed, during Ds being bugged I can guarantee they were paying close attention to how the matches were going and you notice nothing has been mentioned again? It's because they've already seen what happens and aren't gonna change something like that until they can figure a real solution for tunneling immediately off hooks

That’s not true though. At all. There is way more unfun stuff in the game. For both sides.

DS is up there, so really, it is true.

No,i'm special :((((
Definetely not just skimmed the previous posts1 -
ds may need some tweaks and is too strong in endgame scenarios but anti tunnel mechanic are needed.
played today multiple matches with no obsession and guess what the killers did^^
in the past the pallets/windows were so save, the killer couldnt catch up without BL and window blockers.
they added the last years mostly more unsave loops and BL is not needed to catch survivors there.
BL felt pointless anyways since its last nerf some time ago..

**and I'm pretty sure bloodlust has less of an impact than DS.**
That's the whole thing, bloodlust has little to no impact at all. they don't want to remove it because it's to strong. they want to remove it because it serves no purpose anymore and just creates bad habbits

"...ds may need some tweaks and is too strong in endgame scenarios.." And facecamper a hooked guy to ensure the kill is not strong in endgame?

depends on the killer. against bubba its nearly impossible to save and against pyramid head its hard too but with at least two healthy survivor you can usually unhook while the killer is facecamping. you can fake unhooks, bodyblocks... iframe hits...and bt is an often used perk too.
and you can make some plays with unbreakable, ds and/or soulgard. even we gonna farm forever can be usefull to pick up the slugs fast.

Why would they need to test removing DS? They can already see what effect DS has on matches because it’s a perk, so they can see how often it’s run, how often it’s used, what effect it has on matches when it’s run/used, and what effect it has on matches when there’s no DS and no Obsession.
Since bloodlust is enabled in every match they can’t really see any stats about what the game is like without it. That was the purpose of this test. They didn’t run it just to annoy killers, they ran it to collect data.

Because to test DS they can just look at trials without an obsession.
