I play about 90% of my games as a survivor and rarely take a key. I'm that guy who doesn't disconnect when I know the killer has a mori because I love the animation

I do whatever I can to kill all 4 survivors as killer. I don't play killer to be nice, but to kill, if I see only the unhooked person and not the unhooker I won't just ignore them when gens are being done, I'll maybe down them and slug em.

When I'm on survivor however I'm as immersed as possible, most of the times the killers don't notice that I exist. If they find me I'll either disappear in their face or put on a decent chase. With a medkit in my hand and spine chill+ iron will in my heart I shall stay unseen by the killer.

I'm the bush, and the bush is me, wherever you see a bush, there'll always be me.

I use Mori's against SWF. I use keys when I'm in a SWF. even if I don't get hatch, chances are one my friends will.

And it's super rewarding to see the killer pissed off in end game chat have 3 of us escape through hatch.

Unless I'm running a stupid gimmick build I'm going to play as efficiently as possible.

That means punishing survivors that unhook in my face, are out of position, or otherwise just making mistakes. Playing this way is the only way for me to actually improve as a killer. As you would expect I get complaints daily for not coddling the people I'm supposed to kill.

I play by three simple rules:

    1. Don't cheat, either by hacks or lag spikes.
    2. Don't disconnect; if I start a game I finish it.
    3. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

Everything else, valid is on the table.

I sometimes run the killer to my teammate instead because I feel like I'm a more valuable asset to the team than them, especially when I play Dwight with Prove Thyself/Leader.

Maybe early game needs to consist of actually connecting those gens to each other, then to the doors once powered? Or facing a fisherman killer that tosses cripling nets that have to be fought off as you move like gremlin Victor?

Dunno. I agree a major shift is needed to shake things up....

As killer I have a bit of a bad habit of camping. I don't facecamp, and if I feel that it's more beneficial I'll chase, but I like to be in the same area as my hooked survivor, unless I'm running DH or MYC.

It's not that I want to, it's like, instinctive. I know that the second I leave they'll be unhooked, so I find it hard to leave.

Survivor: I can play stealthy AND get objectives done and assist hooked or injured teammates. I’m quite regularly the very last survivor alive, and I don’t feel guilty about that. I’m not responsible for other survivors reckless behaviour, or responsible for their lack of respect that the killer is indeed an actual threat.

Killer (Clown): I really don’t care how taboo it is, I slug a lot as Clown. It’s absolutely necessary with him. First survivor downed is usually slugged. I waste no time in trying to find another survivor to chase. I don’t be toxic and just stand over survivors watching them or nodding at them, or let them bleed out for no good reason. But I do regularly leave downed survivors on the ground to immediately find someone else and move onto another chase. Clown creates huge pressure this way because of how quickly he can end chases, or at the very least injure and abandon.

I will let bad players die. If they make a mistake then it's fine but if they make some really really bad mistakes then I want to let them die.

In my opinion it's better letting them derank so I'm less likely to get matched with them again.

    Oh man I feel this.

The other day was dealing with Hag on Wretched Shop. Basement was in there and a meg went down nearby, so of course she gets hooked down there. Dwight and Ace kept repeatedly going down to save, and subsequently hook trade. Even the Meg was dumb enough to go back down to rescue either of them.

I’m just on gens, getting rid of Hexes thinking “Nope! I’m not going down there!”

Get a message from the Dwight post game going OFF at me. How bad and crap I am (despite me doing 3 gens on my own, getting rid of Ruin and some other Hex, and healing a few of them successfully getting out of the basement)

Like man, no, it’s not my fault you all completely ignored the proven fact that going down to the basement against Hag is suicide.

I don't use moriis because they delete gameplay, but I play like I hate my opponents.

No free unhooks, if I have a hook and a slug I bring my tent - you have to come to me. I have a timer on my phone for Decisive Strike/unbreakable slugs I can tap, and I'm starting to run map offerings just so I don't get sent to Haddonfield(delete that map btw).

Playing survivor is boring because the best thing you can do is hold M1 on a gen, or M1 on the ground.

Killer: I play for fun and prefer to meme around than actually kill you. If you die along the way, oh well. The times I do play not to meme around are games where I will intentionally slug if I suspect DS, but I usually just eat it regardless. I'll usually give the hatch if I find the last Survivor first, unless I'm doing a challenge. If you sabotage my hook right in front of me, regardless of what I'm doing, however, I'll see to it that, even if no one else escapes, you're dead.

Survivor: I do whatever gens I can to avoid a 3-gen, then inevitably get mad at my team for doing the exact wrong gens, leading the Killer to me, not doing gens when the Killer is chasing someone else, unhooks in the Killer's face without Borrowed Time, and other solo queue things. Every Survivor has a different build relating to their personality, even though I don't have half the perks I want, and I usually sacrifice myself to get others out unless NOED is active, in which case... Bye. My looping skills vary between being able to loop a Nurse the whole match without being hit once to falling flat on my face in three seconds against Legion, mostly because of luck in the first part and me being an idiot in the latter (and more common) part.

I try to make it fair for survivors but if they are gonna be toxic and flaunt in my face about it, that's when you shouldn't expect mercy from me

That's just dumb teammates mates for you. I wouldn't have went near there because Hag reasons lol

The games where a survivor camps shack pallet are big ones. Late game it doesn't bother me as much but at the beginning of the game it just angers me lol it's hard to describe the scenarios where I make that decision but I know when I make that decision it was the right one.

  • RaSavage42

I try to be as fair as I can... till something happens then all bets are off

I don't use Mories (cause I don't have many and don't get off the bloodwebs unless the entity says so)

i don't use keys cause I know I'll be the target

I do have fun with chases but get to far ahead of myself for it (lol)

I try to guess the perks being used by everyone in the match (my overthinking everything has been good)

Bond and Buckle Up help me easily make those same decisions 🤣

I use Spine Chill as my survivor crutch. Without that perk I feel naked, I should learn to play without it but I can't it's like an addictive drug.

I used to be the same way with DS but luckily, I got used to playing without it and no longer need it.

As killer I'll play in a way where both me and the survivors get enjoyment out of the game (I won't tunnel or camp unless I absolutely need to or the survivors are being toxic towards me) and as survivor I will never be toxic unless the killer is toxic towards me, then at that point I'm going to be as disrespectful as possible.

As for my controversial opinion, I believe people who try hard at the game, like tunneling and camping at 5 gens and using every possible strategy (Ebony moris, OoO SWF and key, etc.) just to win are scumbags. If you ever play like this, then I strongly believe that you aren't allowed to complain about balancing or complain that your not having fun with the game.

Ruin/Undying is an ass combo and I prefer consistency over anything else.

As a survivor, I play stealthy, but not immersed. I only crouch when I have to (like Hag traps or Pyramid Head's trails)

As the killer, I play to win and pretty much play how I want to play. I don't care if it's fair or fun.

As Survivor, I'm much more chill and usually run meme builds whenever I can. If the killer camps and tunnels, I usually get downed for the person that's being tunneled. Half the time it works and the other half it doesn't but I enjoy it

As Killer I typically end up sparing 1-2 Survivors. Typically I find most matches go in my favor and tend to feel like sparing people to showcase not all Killers are sweaty try hards who have to 4K or else they start complaining. I will down someone unsafely unhooked, but I will not hook them unless they are toxic. If I'm stomping the team, I'll likely give them one free slug/rescue as well. Though I won't lie that I got preferences on who I spare. Many obnoxious Neas, P3 Claud, and Fengs have made me more ruthless with them. I'm also more likely to spare the guys cause they are not as common and some of them are eye candy.

I tend to play who I find fun. I was a Hag main for a long time, but I find her to easy to 4K with now. I typically don't play Killers that I hate facing like Plague (removing healing/stealth is obnoxiously boring), Freddy, or Spirit. I'd say Ghostface is my current favorite cause he can be fun to goof off with as well. My worse Killers are those who are disorientating like Billy, Nurse, and Blight. My strongest ones are the more trickery and planning Killers like Hag, Twins, and Trapper. Twins are looking promising to me. Victor is loads of fun and there's adrenaline trying to land those pounces and avoid being crushed. I'm looking forward to becoming a Twin main.

Camping and tunneling are for losing or terrible Killers. I do it when someone pisses me off usually, but I'll typically spare the rest of the team for playing so dirty cause I feel bad for using such a scummy play.

As Survivor I always play solo and end up dying much more than I survive. I'd say I'm a decent player, nothing amazing but better than many of the Survivors I get paired with. There's many matches where it just feels straight up hopeless with bad allies and the Killer stomping the team. And some of the teams I've watched just lately are depressing. Like someone dying trying to unhook a death hooked Nea. She's dead bro, you can't unhook her. I've also face plenty of super sweaty and BM Killers lately. Went Adam for the challenge with bloody party streamers cause he had them, got face camped by the Leatherface wearing the Claudette face. Typically I try to play both sides how I'd like to be played against, and that's frustrating as Survivor with how many Killers are either sweaty or scummy. I hate most Hags for example cause how I play her conflicts with almost every single Hag you face. If you have to place traps at the hook, you're playing like trash cause Hag can rofl stomp most matches without putting a trap remotely near a hook.

I typically try to go for saves even at the end of the match (barring NOED), but I did get cussed out recently for not doing more by a Survivor for her likely SWF buddy who died despite her sitting in the exit gate herself cause she didn't want to die for her. I try to be a little smarter about saving people at the end, because I've seen plenty of 1 or 2Ks turn into 4Ks with endgame camping.

Also I rarely disconnect, but I will yeet myself by KOBE if the match feels awful. I don't run DS, but sometimes it's tempting with how many scummy players there are.

Overall I'm more likely to have stressful or unfun Survivor games than Killer. Those Killer games that are that bad are pretty hard to push through when you know you aren't going to get any of that trollish SWF and they mock you. But as Survivor, you're dealing with trollish allies and sweaty Killers at the same time. You get it from both sides of the playing field then.

I was also a spine chill addict. I gave it up. Took a while to learn to really pay attention to the background. Highly suggest taking the plunge. Plan your escape or route before you hit a gen. Find your loop. Spine chill kinda lets you rely on stealth.

And I play a pretty chill survivor. Absolutely zero toxic behavior... not really my thing. I don't run any meta perks, and try not to make dumb saves. A little overly altruistic, will sacrifice my escape for someone who I feel had a better game. I really don't care if I escape.

I am amazingly inconsistent. I'll have matches where as killer I'll play a stunning game against a SWF group, only to fail dismally against 4 solo players. As survivor, the same goes there too. Basically, I'm extremely random.

As killer I'm pretty chill. I almost never tunnel and really never camp. I'll slug to create more map pressure if I need it but nothing too crazy. All I really care about is that everyone in the match had fun. I love meming too.

As survivor, I'm pretty chill as well but I admittedly try a bit harder because of the solos I get. Sometimes I'll go out of my way to be annoying to the killer because my teammates can't last in a chase and it has to be me to get chased if we want to have any hope of living.

As a whole though, I think I'm pretty fun to play against on both sides.
