How to improve fast
I saw this post where someone played legion and all gens were down in 4 minutes. He shared his gameplay.
The comments in this thread are full of helpful tips especially for OPs exact skill level.
I think this way is the fastest way to improve and more people should do it. This game really lacks a good tutorial.
Reviewing my gameplay myself helped me a lot, but i think with the help of others you improve faster.

as surv, study carefully this guy doing 5-gen-hold as pro looper:
as for killer, depends on the killer and there is not so much to learn since looping is way harder and requires more practice

in reality he pretty much plays taunting the killer to loop 8 hours a day on Twitch, and I still reckon he makes few mistakes at looping

One very important ability you need to learn in order to improve is being able to spot your own mistakes.
So as you said, posting your gameplay here from games that were really hard can help you to improve on that

besides sharing your gameplay as killer one of the best ways to improve is to never camp or tunnel post gens getting powered. That sounds like survivor advice but hear me out, if you are constantly finding healthy survivors and finishing those chases your getting experience at playing killer/ending chases a lot faster than if you camped or tunneled.
Also if your new you will find that if you camp you often win since survivors don't know what to do yet which makes some killers kinda reliant on camping, don't become one of those killers.

Uncharted is a hell of a looper but I would recommend you have a look into Fungoose as they play together. He is amazing at macro decisions and that is much more important for you as a new player. My favorite streamers for educational content are in the Oceanic region.
Otzdarva is a hell of a killer and has solid insights for all roles and objectives. You should also look into specialized content depending of your focus.
What I would recommend the most is avoiding toxic content. They are fun to watch, but not good to learn.

Watching high level gameplay is helpful. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know.
For highly mechanical killers like Nurse/Spirit/Billy/Blight/etc, doing 1v1s in custom lobbies is massively helpful for improvement with the specific powers. It's the most efficient way to improve for some killers because you are guaranteeing repetitive chase time against a good player, rather than 4 randos who may or may not have a clue against a Nurse for instance.
Same thing goes for survivor. Struggling against Spirit and know a great Spirit player? Do some 1v1s for an hour or two and you'll be amazed at how fast you improve.

If the survivors are playing well, you are reliant on their mistakes while using the majority of the killer caste. What can you possibly learn running safe loops as an M1 killer? Maybe to not respect pallets so much, or when to drop a chase, that's about it.
There's only a few reliable ways to win in DBD:
Play a battle of attrition, clearing out pallets and returning to the deadzones for downs.
Tunnel / camp / slug for pressure.
Play an OP character like spirit and do whatever you want.
I had to cringe when I saw this profile the other day with people saying "oh this guy is such a nice nurse main" etc etc. When if you put them onto someone like Wraith or Clown the profile would probably be full of salt because playing dirty is the only way to win on those characters if the survivors are any good.

We can't really judge off of clips where the killer is obviously a noob, no doubling back or trapping loops to force him to leave and also the way that streamer hid in the loop is a terrible strategy and a good killer is gonna make you pay for that

if your trying to improve your probably not that good and not in red ranks so your not going to go against perfect survivors, also camping and tunneling after gens are powered is necessary to secure kills but before than not really in fact i rarely slug unless its someone who just got unhooked or if i see another survivor i think i can get.
To me the mindset of "I can't win against good survivors(not gen rush sweats your right about those) without tunneling or camping" shows that you lack confidence and probably don't have the skills to win against good survivors. The only thing i agree with you is having to slug but only if the situation is favourable for it or presents itself to you. IDK about you but i often win without even slugging some games even as basic m1 killers.
I wont say that this game is fair most of the time especially regarding gen times but a majority of games are winnable by just doing good with your chases and playing smart. if you ask me what would make this game way more fair is if the trial start up idea was put in this game that way 3 gens don't go off before you even get someone on a hook.

Yeah that killer wasn't good. Although I probably wouldnt have done it as good as that guy because I haven't really built a more diverse way thinking about loops like him.

dude he plays rank 1 killers so most likely not noob killers duh

I post my games on YT
But I have enough memory to remember what happened... so I wish others would tell me what I did wrong
I do spot my mistakes all the time... as I make small mistakes a lot... but bigger mistakes less often... and other mistakes that I don't notice
1 -
Dude anyone with half a brain stem can see that's a noob killer by the way he's playing
1 -
dude so the ranking balance system is always failing at pairing him (rank 1) with other similar ranks?

I can't speak for most killers but I do know the fastest way to improve as blight
start with shredded notes + any other decent addon, overuse your power until you have a good feel for it and can do decently with it even while overusing it
move on to double speed play with that for 50 or so games
go back to no speed addons and you will feel the game going in slow motion and are much more deadly

I still completely disagree with that, as someone who has played at rank 1 for thousands of hours and regularly is playing into the genrush sweats.
If you hit a good SWF, all gens will be done in 4-5 minutes. There was just a video on this forum demonstrating it. It's not uncommon to lose 2 gens before corrupt intervention is over, especially if you are playing someone with a weak early game like Michael Myers. If they have full meta builds, you actually cannot win as an M1 killer. It's borderline impossible. The loops are too safe, the gens are done too fast, there's too many second chance perks, object of obsession callouts are too strong. I bring a Mori into those games almost every time if I recognize the SWF.
I literally just came out of a game like that, sent to Ormond, 2 gens done before corrupt was over, instant medkits, the works. But I had a tombstone so I still won (and depipped). And it's incredibly hard to untrain yourself from playing in a manner to beat those kinds of players. So you play like that into disorganized solo Q players as well.

Ok i think i should say something. I will not quote anyone, so nobody feels the need to reply.
Its nice of you to share tips, but i never asked for them.
I just wanted to share the tip that you should let your gameplay get reviewed, when you want to get better. And that many people in this forum are nice and have the experience to review it.
So please share your tips somewhere else, theres a higher chance someone will read it.

same boat in experience as you mate been in rank 1 as killer for 3 years, let's agree to disagree
i think your a little blinded by how unbalanced this game is to see that not all games are like that, from my experience 1 sided survivor games are in the minority of my matches. i'm not saying that that's ok something definitely needs to be done in a ton of different area of the game but as i said plenty of games are winnable with m1 killers if your a good killer.

I have the same experience that this swfs are very rare. But i play ps4 only or crossplay. I heard PC without Crossplay is harder. Which do you both play?
0 -
xbox but i have crossplay on and get PC players more than console players.

Uncharted is very skilled and he could probably loop against any killer. In general, the level of the competition is not that great on that server judging by the opposition that he, Fungoose or Battlemick were getting. No offense intended to the Oceanic region, it's just a consequence of it being a small community, but the only good killers their SWF used to get matched against on the regular were Dweebay and Sir Kracken.

People are always complaining about how bad matchmaking is , yellow ranks getting paired with red ranks which shouldn't happen, I'm not saying that guy is a bad survivor I'm saying that in THAT match the killer was a bot and if you think that's good trapper gameplay something is very wrong, the killer was so bad he was losing the man in the middle of the being looped at a jungle gym with ZERO double backing, traps, or mind games to shut it down , that kinda speaks for itself and If someone thinks that trapper was good let me know when you're playing so I can try to get in your lobby lol a trapper that gets looped in one jungle gym the whole game and doesn't set traps? EZ 5 gen run , it totally makes sense
