Do you think they did a pretty good job so far?
I want to know what the community thinks. How have they done as a game studio. Tell me of you really think they've "done a pretty good job so far"

I like how with every major complaint, they provide a solution.
Camping Killer - BT.
Tunneling Killer - DS.
Gen Speed - Corrupt, Ruin, Dying Light etc.
Ruin getting cleansed too fast? Undying gets introduced.
So much more that I admire.

They do have a problem with fixing issues. Rather than stitching the wound, they just keep putting more and more bandages. It's gotten to the point where they cant rly go back and change things without a major overhaul of the entire game.

Gameplay wise the only thing I feel they messed up with is breakable walls.
Aesthetic wise the new maps need to have a better ground texture. They have next to no leaves. The current maps have a richness in their grounds with mashed leaves and other debris in the texture. Reworked ground textures look like pure dirt with no debris.

Have they done a pretty good job so far? Yeah. So far.
There's still much room for improvement, but look where we started. It could be a LOT worse

I think that their trying. its a hard cat and mouse game that all developers have to tip toe. Making the game fun for Killers will ultimately make it unfun for survivors and vise versa. At the end of the day though the only people who can make this game fun is those that make it. I played a few games today where I just tried to make myself laugh. I leaned out of cover as Ghostface and crouch spammed at survivors and they played along. I ended up playing Tower defense on Asylum anytime a survivor came inside I would down them and toss them out they spent nearly an hour trying to just hide inside. It honestly was most fun I've had in Red Ranks for a while.
I think that the community is so wrapped up in their idea of winning that they lost track of what Video Games are meant for enjoyment and its starting to effect the Dev's getting them so wrapped up in the Idea that they have to make these changes or their going to lose something they built.

They've kept me entertained for over 1,000 hours. I'm not the most hardcore player but every game has growing pains. You kind of expect it.
My vision of the game doesn't match the majority of the vocal playerbase I think, but it's fine now...even if they made everything a bit easy/fair.

DS is poison. There's literally no reason it should last 60 seconds. Actually, it should only be available once per game like it was originally.

We've come a long way compared to 2 years ago, let alone 4 years ago.

They have grown this game from 3 killers and 4 survivors to 20+ killer and survivors... Good
They have made introduced new machines (but fell off hard)... Good/Bad
They have changed maps... Good (so far)
They have made a playerbase that want to see this game do good... Good

First there was just a cosmetic shop
then there was the rift
then they added sets
and most recently they used a hyped up, anticipated event to sling more cosmetics
so not a lot of goodwill left from me.

They added Wraith four years ago, but have yet to add his power.
No.

The only thing that would make the game better is a Dev or someone working on balance that actually plays the game. Then they would see everything that the community is having problems with. Let's not forget Ethan's response to OoO

If I didn't enjoy the game it wouldn't be my fourth most played game on Steam.

If you include the constant bugs (some of which have been around for literally years) then no, I do not think they have done a pretty good job so far. The content is fun and at a good rate but the bugs are unforgivable, survivors not making sounds on the ground has been in the game for over a year now and Oni still spins around like he is on crack after a demon strike making it so disorienting you actually completely lose track of who you were chasing. I could list more but that would take up the entire forum with how many bugs exist and how every patch breaks something new.

It's mostly alright.
They need a matchmaker, a good proper one with proper ranking systems and they need it ASAP.
They also need to do something about the ridiculous grind the game has become.
I feel if they deal with those two major problems, the rest of things can be sorted out over time.
A lot of folks feel the game has some serious issues; and it's far far from perfect, but that it's at least the best of it's kind of game we have. Until something better comes along, folks are gonna be playing this.
So I would say "They've done good enough, and have no real competition"

I think people forget how it was I was actually watching some really old hybrid panda twitch clips because I miss him and oh boy you can see how far this game has come.
