new maps appreciation thread

I only read negative stuff about the new maps reworks in this forum.

I just want to make an opposite thread, for all the people who enjoy and love the reworks, cause I do enjoy them for sure and wanna thank Bhvr for that. Please keep up reworking the maps, they look so much better now with new graphics.

Maybe just put a little bit more safe pallets into those maps and it will be perfect.

Thx

so I guess I'm really the only one in the forum liking the new maps?

or are those who are happy with the update just not active in this forum?

Unfortunately majority of fourm users use i just to complain and whine, but I’m with ya, I love the new maps and tbh i feel like the twins are super fun! And not too weak as people claim.

I'm liking the map updates. I think a lot of the complaints are because

    1. the maps are being balanced a bit more
    2. the map layouts are altered enough that people are having to relearn them

I think once everyone has acclimated they will feel more positive about them

I'm definitely a fan of the new maps. I'm glad they kept that little tint of green on Autohaven, but wish they would've kept the blue on MacMillan (but I still love the new MacMillan). I'm really excited to see what they do when they get around to Coldwind. I could imagine the killer shack being turned into gory butcher shop, that'd be sick

I really like the new Ormond.

Haven’t had the Autohaven maps often enough to judge them properly.

New Ormond seems a lot more interesting, the main building seems to have been reduced in strength and there's not as much random clutter all across the map.

I need more time on Ormond to see if I like it, (For the record I played like 30 something matches yesterday and got Ormond once) but I like how Autoheaven turned out.

Ormond is pretty much the only map change I actually like.

I... Like the look of new ormond and as a killer it's very strong now.

New Autohaven... There are so many things I hate about this map that I can't really begin to think of the positives.

The maps looks decent. All my killer games have been at least okay on them.

I think the graphics are great, it is just the frames people get on them.

So glad they got rid of the "house of windows" on Azarov's resting place.

They new jungle gyms being shorter is the best part imo

I like the new maps. I've not performed too well on them yet, but I like them. :)

I like new maps, only have a couple minor gripes with autohaven.

    And Ormond is no more!

I love the new Ormond aesthetically. Gameplay wise? I have seen some...ridiculously unsafe pallets to put it lightly.

Like can't use them for anything; can't just throw them for distance, can't play them even against a pure M1 killer. Almost like they are there to bait you into dying at them unless you get a miracle stun. The most unsafe pallets I have ever seen, they make Hawkins pallets look good.

The cool thing is that I have a metric ton of Ormond offerings on my killers since I would never use them.

The new Ormond is ok, but I love Autohaven. The rework made it so much more fun. I was playing Plague and got a round on Autohaven, it was one of my favorite rounds of all time.

Well you see, for no good reason, Lery's, Hawkins, Midwich, Badham and Ormond all run like absolute dog ######### for me... and they didnt use to. 35FPS in some places in Ormond...what the actual #########

I cannot be happy playing in these maps when they run so bad, because it's sickening and i do mean it literally, it makes me sick to look at the game when the frames are dipping so bad. This game does not have ANY excuse to run this bad, and if I have to turn the graphics to low just so I can play the videogame then what the hell is the point...there are way more complicated games that my computer runs without a hiccup on higher settings.

I absolutely love the McMillan remake, except for the breakable walls. Yamaoka is fine. Autohaven is a bit too dark but mostly fine.

The new Ormond rework is great in my opinion, besides the few bugs it seems to have. Some pallets are actually mindgameable now.

Reworked Autoheaven maps are also nice, and they look so much better now in my opinion. I just wish those maps would also have gotten some more mindgameable pallets, as almost all pallet loops unique to Autoheaven are safe pallets for survivors. Still not the most balanced maps in my opinion.
