Losing a match isn't the problem, nor is the meta builds everybody uses

The reason why people get so upset when they lose is because they didn't have enough time to enjoy the trial.

I'm sure you've felt it before, getting slugged at 4 gens, survivors spread out across the map avoiding pressure & completing 3 gens 80 seconds into the trial, a meta killer with an ebony mori one hook killing you 40 seconds into the trial.

It's far to common, and far too easy to make a trial feel like an extended queue for your next match. That's the problem, that's what you should be complaining about. When the killer kills you with a mori getting killed isn't the problem, how fast you got killed is the problem. When the survivors escape them escaping isn't the problem, how fast they escaped is the problem. Survivors being invincible for 60 seconds wouldn't matter at all if the trial didn't end as soon as the killer whiffs a swing. Killers tunneling wouldn't be a problem if the sacrificial process didn't jump forwards every time you get hooked.

That's the problem, we simply don't have enough time to enjoy Dead By Daylight.

I feel this way against certain Killer add-on builds. I don't always want to sweat through a match but these add-ons force me to play a way I already wasn't feeling good about. When it happens once it's whatever, move on to the next game; when it happens three times in a row I feel like I'm just unlucky and wasted my free time, which is never a good feeling.

I can agree with this, I really wish games where longer and more paced out, it would lower my stress and frustration by a lot.

Trials definitely need to slow down. If they nerfed gen speeds and buffed how long it takes for a survivor to die, I'd be VERY happy.

Also people being toxic, but according to most it's a non issue.

Yeah so playing survivor would be 90% of the time pressing m1 or standing on a hook, sounds fun

More gen time, yes, but also more chase time. Are you really OK with waiting 20 minutes for a game only for it to end in 20 seconds? I'm a Killer main, so it's no problem for me and my 2 second queue times, but I would imagine survivors would love increased gen times but also more survivability.

More chase time? I thought killers hated infinites, double pallets and lack of dead zones

Also my matchmaking never takes over 2 minutes, when one matchmaking starts getting longer I switch role which goes faster

Also no, not even the current 80 seconds of gen is fun

That stuff doesn't really bother me. Well maybe getting tunneled and Mori'd right away lol

The most frustrating and deflating thing for me is Huntress red hatchets and addon Michael who can Mori without downing you.

Mechanics like that shouldnt even exist. You can outplay the killer and get killed over something that's virtually unavoidable.

It isn't fun because all you're doing is pressing M1 and occasionally doing a skill check. Theres no puzzle solving or interesting mechanics to make it fun or engaging. But if you had to do tasks similar to Among Us I don't think it would be an issue anymore. And if you could survive longer as a survivor to actually do those puzzles it would make any extra time spent at least bearable.

It would be fun with the same repair time if each generator had a different way to be repaired yes, sadly devs cant think about anything because they would need to rework toolboxes and addons again, too much to ask

We hate infinites because there is no counterplay or the counterplay is just hold W, occasionally press space. It's less about how much skill either side has, and more of who has more patience/"honor".

Lack of dead zones is the exact opposite of what I enjoy. I hate dead zones. It's why Midwich is such utter s**t. It's just holding W, holding W, holding W harder.

What is this "double pallets" you are refering to?

Ultimately, Killers hate long chases because we are under a VERY stressful time limit. We can't afford to continue chasing. What makes you think Killers don't like chases? We love them. It's just that we can't afford to have too much of it.

But what's more fun: 40 second gens and the Killer not being able to commit to a 2 hit chase, or 200 second gens and everyone gets 3-4 full 2 hit chases?

It's a matter of skill gaps. The player base is screwed up, or something. Too few people at your skill level will mean you get better or worse matches.

It doesn't help too much when a "bodyguard" survivor teams up with low levels to screw with the killer.

Nor does it help much when boosted survivors get into higher levels and screw with other survivors.

I'm not sure how a killer gets boosted unless they get fed a lot, but that's problematic.

matchmaking settling on a high level killer for a group of newbies isn't great.

Nor when killers depip to stomp newbies.

If people are around your skill level (or less if you can pull punches) you can have a drawn out, long trial where people get lots of BP provided they interact. Super fun!

If you get into a trial with people who are way above you, and can't or won't hold back, you're screwed. They might be screwed, too. A killer just inhaling survivors may not get great points. Survivors that never get seen and just do gens may not get great points.
