What I hate most: Hook rushing
As a survivor, the thing I hate most is when I get rescued almost instantly after being hooked.
No you're not cute or skilled, the killer plays in first person with a limited FOV, anybody can lodge their head up his ass while he's carrying someone.
You're wasting time that could've been spent repairing, you're putting me in serious danger and wasting Kindred (which I always have as a solo) and you're making bad plays imo so when push comes to shove, if I survive your horrible rescue attempt... I'm letting him take your ass and earning my sweet escape BP. Not even sorry.
Let me sit on the hook a little in the first phase, I'M LITERALLY ASKING FOR IT!

Agreed. Rescuing immediately means the Killer is in the area and will likely come back to the hook or stay around.
Plus the most efficient thing to do is leave a teammate on the hook just before they go onto the next hook stage and use the rest of the time for a generator or something.

Problem is, MYC and Devour Hope are very powerful perks and they only activate after the killer is a certain distance away from the survivor so rushing unhook can prevent those perks from activating.
Plus if the unhooker has Deliverance and WGLF, there's practically no downside to rushing an unhook.

There is no "Hook rush" perk that can't wait a little bit while someone sits through phase 1, use it, just use it later

I've been doing it lately, and boy howdy do I feel dirty. But its solely to go for that awful Bill trophy. Also I make sure to run Borrowed Time, and thankfully, the killer hasn't ignored me once for the fresh unhook! Trust me though, everytime I do it, I feel worse and worse lmao.

That's not true. It depends on what the situation is. In certain situations, the most optimal thing to do is to unhook so you have 4 survivors working on gens again. It all depends on what's going on in the match.

Both deliverance and wglf reward safe inhooks. Unless you pack BT the killer can just smack them back down and now they'll come after you while the unhooked is slugged.

The devs need to award Hook Rescues AFTER it's a safe unhook.
Initial unhook gives you 1500 BP. THEN an extra 500 for safe hook rescues.
Unhooking unsafely should greatly reduce the bloodpoints given to the survivor.

Well if the rescuer has BT then it can actually be better for the survivors. The killer will be forced on a chase while 2 other survivors are away repairing their gens. 2 gens can easily be done before the next hook.

It encourages tunnelling or unnecessary hook trading, meaning that people that quickly unhook like that are more likely to go down quite quick which puts the team at such a disadvantage

currently, it's an instant 1k and then 500 if they go a bit without being hit... it should be nothing immediately, 500 awarded and referred to as "Unsafe Unhook" if hit soon after and then the safe unhook reward should get bumped up to 1k to discourage hook farming and lazy or naive unhooks. It would be a good training mechanism for new players too.

I run DS as survivor mainly because of people farming me off the hook. I rarely get tunneled if the team makes a good save.
On the other hand I've actually had people kill themselves on hook while I was waiting for a good moment to save because I don't run BT sometimes and they got impatient.
Most of the killers I play punish bad saves heavily even if there is BT, like pyramid head or leatherface, so I go out of my way to make smart saves as survivor. You should really only hook bomb if the killer is camping and there's no other option.

And then they accuse the killer of tunneling for downing them both even though the literally didn't even wait for the killer to have a chance to leave the area.

I literally just made a thread from the killers perspective, talking about this exact thing then getting called a tunneler or camper.
