Kill Switch update: The issue affecting Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater has been fixed and the cosmetic has been reenabled in all queues with this update.

Why did you nerf Hoarder?

  • Hoarder: Removed the stipulation that it decreases the rarity of items found in chests

Yeah I know it was bugged last patch,

but instead of fixing it, you straight up removing it, excuse me what?

I wonder who is gonna use this perk now,

why would I bring a perk so the survivor can loot more chests.

I don't get BHVR keep nerfing mediocre-at-best new perks, first coup de grace and now this, really...

So so soooooo glad I fought to knock out that twins adept achievement before this patch.

Holy snips on snapper. The biggest value on that perk was that you weren't getting jacked with super strong finds since it's usually easy enough as a survivor to open chests off your radar or while you're too pre-occupied. Now its full-on a disadvantage by offering up extra late-game finds to work against you. LOL.

Though main reason I fought for that Twins adept on first days was just cause I knew whatever changes they made to Victor's locker interactions were going to be half-assed at best. And yep. 10 seconds to get halfway across the map... with half that time going to the character animations. Them tactics!

Okay, I guess main MAIN reason why I rushed to get adept: the hubris of every player that rushed into a locker trying to use an exploit right in your face... and the pure bliss of smacking them down with the part they hadn't heard about yet. 😋

Was it really a nerf? The only time the 2 addidtional chests will hurt you is when surv pulls out a key, otherwise it wastes survivors time and (after the change) has a higher chance that you will know where they are.

I'd take the extra range over the reduced item rarity any day.

why would I bring a perk so the survivor can loot more chests.

Searching is a waste of time. More chests = more potential time wasted for survivors. On top of that they also get their location revealed too.

The range increase is helpful, as I often forget it existed based on the limited triggers …but helpful enough you'd ever actually run the perk?

Now it's the benefits are totally situational compared to that flat value of removing keys from the equation at least.

With the old perk, even the subpar items could still offset any value gained unless the killer manages to capitalize on the information revealed too. The searches buy time, but not as much as a couple impromptu sabotages cost, and those brown med-kits don't chew up anywhere near the same time (and pressure) as having to find another survivor for a heal. Seems as capable of hindering as helping in any given match.

It really only really wastes time if they go around searching every single chest. That and if they bring coin offerings that's even more chests for them massively increasing their chances to pull out keys if they got something like plunderers. Removing the lowered item quality seems really pointless and kind of takes away the appeal of the perk? The twins don't guard treasure, they guard scraps and this perks just makes it feel like you're handing gourmet food straight to the survivors now.

It seemed really strange to me to remove that part of the perk as it sounded like a pretty useful feature. So now it's purely a kinda crappy tracking perk.

I feel like it should spawn 2 "Junk" chests as a trap part of the perk.

The "Junk" chests always have half depleted brown item in them but look identical to the 5 normal chests.

This would make it has the down graded items while also being infinitely easier to code as it just spawns a new object that shares a model with the normal one.

Depends, do you want a PR answer about how they didn't consider it a fair trade off, or do you want the accurate answer that they legitimately couldn't fix the bugs in the perk so just started stripping off effects instead?
