Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Cross-Progression and Crossplay Interaction

If I link two accounts with cross progression will I still be able to play SWF with those two accounts, or will only one of them be able to play at a time since they'll be linked as a single BHVR account?

It is perfectly safe for your friend list and your inventory/bp to link all of your game accounts onto a behavior account. I've done it between pc and console and experienced no issues. So feel comfort in knowing that and doing so.

I'm not worried about the linking process being buggy. Specifically, my wife and I both play and we want to know if we link our accounts if they'll still be able to play together.

You can’t link two accounts of the same platform.

currently only Stadia and Steam accounts can be linked with switch following ‚soon(to)‘ (read:not soon sadly).

i don’t know if you can play with both accounts at the same time or even in SWF together though.

I think the question been asked is "If my Stadia and Steam accounts are linked, can one person play on my steam account and another on my stadia account at the same time, or is that prevented by the accounts being linked?"

Yeah I just wanted to make sure that OP doesn’t try to link 2 Steam accounts because they didn’t mention which platform.

My bad, when you said swf I imagined 4 man with key and fleshlights not a husband and wife duo and I gave you advice that I'd read about borking people's ingame (not external like psn or steam) friend lists and costing them their bloodpoints lol. That was a couple of months or so ago by now though iirc. But knowing behavior it probably still can happen and the only way to know if it would to a couple of accounts would be to just do it and see. But don't do what I said though, unless you wanna risk losing bloodpoints or having an empty game friend list from things I'd read a while back on steam posts since I doubt it's been used enough or important enough to the devs to have fixed it if they could even figure out how to. I had just wanted to try and Mori a suspected squad so to speak, for a playful pun with an apology attached.

Unless you wanna play the same account on switch, I'd avoid any mergers since the other consoles have separate accounts and as far as I know only windows store (which is pointless if you have steam since it's the same platform already and windows store sucks) and the switch version let you have cross Progression... the M$ and Sony consoles do NOT have cross progression. And fromw hat I'd read, it was linking both their PSN & Steam player ID to a behavior account that led to those issues for most of the posts I caught about it. I assume xbox would lead to the same problems for some people too if they hadn't ever fixed it. My guess is having two separate accounts from platforms not allowing proper merges of progress are what led to the 'confusion' with bloodpoint totals and in game friend lists. But either way, you guys would come out of it with just one viable account is my guess, meaning unable to play together without a new account and grinding bp all over agains ince it would not be undone.

I really didn't get an answer at all. I will be looking to link a steam and a switch account when it's available. I want to know if I do that will the two linked accounts be able to play simultaneously (and in a SWF) or will it be prevented because we will be viewed as a single player. I'm going to assume BHVR has any issues with account linking under control by then hopefully.
