Okay I've seen it spelled in different ways and overall just butchered, so we are going to lay it out for fellow geeks. Its not cobi, kobi, cobie, or even kobe. Its Kobe, and I'd argue that its KOBE! This is due to the late great Mamba, Kobe Bryant.


Growing up, he was a badass confident player who looked damn good shooting. Millions of kids yelled KOBE! growing up as they threw paper at the basket, rocks into the river, and dare I say it basketballs into hoops. Now it lives on in this goddamn geeky game that I enjoy.


When you're attempting to escape from a hook, you're trying to throw yourself, with little chance of success, off the hook. The start of it was people yelling KOBE as they tried to jump. Much like the paper balls I threw at the classroom trash can, we rarely make it. But its not about that. Its not about bloodpoints. Its about the Mamba, the KOBE!
