HEX: Devour Hope Is Now Broken (FIXME DEVS)
Just finished a round as my boy Michael Myers (who I wish would be updated, but that's another topic). Anyways, I'm sure everyone has noticed the Mori changes and are not too happy. Personally, I have no problem with the mori being used on a survivor only if they have reached 2nd hook phase, except when they run Decisive Strike, Unbreakable, and Adrenaline on top of that (activating DS, Unbreakable, or Adrenaline should remove 2nd hook clause).
I just ran Hex: Devour Hope and got the 5 tokens required to Mori someone, only to find out that THE PERK CAN ONLY BE USED WHEN A SURVIVOR REACHES THE 2ND HOOK PHASE. This needs a fix. Not only can the survivors break the totem and deactivate the perk, the Killer must acquire 5 tokens before being able to Mori already.
Please revert this perk back to normal devs.

I think this has to do with the Devour Hope mori being registered as an Ebony Mori, hence why I've always seen the mori icon for it.
Only a dev or a mod like @MandyTalk could confirm that, though.

Are we at all surprised the devs managed to fail to consider that the one of the only perks in the game that gives you a mori effect might be affected by the mori change unless they fiddled with it.
Someone should probably go check on Rancor as well.
I wouldn't be half surprised if this gets called a "feature".

lol now Devour is even more a waste of a perk

dunno about you but it worked perfectly fine for me

I was mori'd by a Devour Hope without being hooked today. I wish it had required me to be hooked. 😂

On one hand that would break my heart as its my favorite killer perk. On the other hand i rarely see it as survivor and this would make that even more so. Hope its just a glitch

I just got a 4K using it and two hadn't been hooked, so.
Why is Devour a waste? You get a lucky totem spawn and play well and you have permanent one-tap survivors before two gens have popped. Bit more, everyone is Moriable by 2 gens.

Gotta love lies

I agree. It's one of my favorites, simply because of the effort needed to mori. It's why the mori nerf didn't bother me. The mere fact that it takes 5 hooks to activate should be enough. Especially since it's a totem.

I would say you prove their point with the use of the word "lucky". A perk that requires luck is unreliable and a gamble.
Of course it is many the strongest killer perk once it got to full potential but the downside is so immense given the overall rng of dbd that it is most often not worth it.

Yeah that needs to be reverted
Usally you don't want to tunnel as d hope so you have a more of chance of getting that tasty 4 man devour.
However if it's working like you say it is you might as well tunnel just to get 2 stages out the way so you at least have 2 ppl who you can kill with d hope.

Rancor most likely uses the cypress mori which ignores hook stages
If you are the last surrvivor your moriable which is why I sometimes use it when there's a pesky blendette.
