Hit box issues

So i've been playing of Doctor recently and i've noticed that the hitboxes are not that great, i've swung multiple times at survivors and it's hasn't been connecting, like i could hit a survivor at the tip top of weapon and it wouldn't hit them.

Was this intentional of not, and has this happend to anyone else?

    yeah i get this so much too i have no idea what's going on, it's only with some survivors too.

    If you hit the survivor with the tip of your weapon, why shouldn't it do damage? It's also based on connection.
