I hope the game becomes better then it was now, more balanced, more killers, and maybe something else new like a game mode or campaign/story mode. Anyway thats just me though

Compare DbD to itself in 2017 and that’s how much I think it will improve by 2023. Every patch I feel like the game massively improves. I can’t imagine DbD without cross play yet I played DbD without it not long ago.

Lots more cool killers and perks. Probably some quality of life changes along the way.

Because that's what's happening, maps are literally shocking. They'll spawn all unsafe pallets that are used before a gen evens pops so there's nothing to work with. Maps are small so gates aren't even worth going for because they take 10 years to open. Team mates are crap who can't last 5 seconds and will go for unhooks straight away when injured. Oh yeh and killer has undying and ruin so good luck on that gen because you now need to save because everyone is injured.

Oh and killers cry if they can't kill all 4 survivors every single game.

35ish killers, 35ish survivors, all maps reworked, all egregiously OP or underpowered loadout items addressed, better balance across the killer and map roster, still a solid player base... but I'm sure it'll still be a buggy, poor-performing mess with sounds that break every patch. It would be a minor miracle if the freeze when status effects are first applied is dealt with by then. Performance hasn't improved since the 60 FPS target on all platforms was communicated almost two years ago, so I'm not exactly optimistic that will ever happen.

With only AI controlled killers to go against.

I predict chapters will stop getting released at around that time maybe a year or so before that, the game will be free-to-play, have maybe a good 5 to 10k playing daily, and get around 2 or 3 patches a year, with the battle pass still rolling and the grind worse than ever before.

The core game will still probably be fun though. Maybe.

We'll have Bill Bailey as a Survivor and Dennis Leary as Killer

Maybe Christopher Walken and Adam West too with a Phill Collins skin for Victor

Spring Trap didn't make it off of ptb either.

There will be 36 survivors and 122 total survivor perks, 34 killers and 114 total killer perks and most of the new perks will be mediocre to bad. Your bloodwebs will be littered with even more of these unwanted perks, and there will be threads complaining "geez, 4 perks per web is not enough" and they will have to put yet another Band-aid on this heinous bloat, or finally give the perk system the rework that it desperately needs.
