What type of maps would you like to see and why ?
Personally -I know I'll get hooked for this- would like to see more in-door maps and unique maps in general as they allow for more creative gameplay as opposed to -let's say- Shelter Woods.
Something like a mall. Maybe an abandoned one like this:
or an active mall like this:
Or an amusement park:
What do you think? Any particular type of maps you're hoping to see in DBD in the future and why?

I want something surreal. Like walking on flesh/entity legs, and when a survivor is sacrificed instead of going into the sky they get pulled into the wall and consumed with blood sprays. Indoor map with glimpses of outer space in the skybox.

A map where it's possible to open, close or shift routes would be interesting. Dunno how it could be balanced though.

I want WWI trenches. Something like Verdun or the Somme would do, with sounds of artillery and gunfire in the background.

You mean kinda like "Agony" ish ?
Sounds like Maze Runner. Could be interesting as it would take ages for people to memorize everything so both sides would equally struggle to win I guess.
Do you mean this?
If so then the devs could probably use Shelter Woods as a base to design this map I suppose.

No no, something more like this
Extremely narrow trenches were you can only move forwards or backwards, with a couple of ladders you can climb and some safe pallets
There would be 2 trenches with 3 gens each and inbetween them no man's land with a single gen and a few loopable structures.
The basement would be located in a dugout.

That Agony setup would work I think

ye:
- Vertical Maps
- Maps that involve killers being able to use levers to change the layout of the map slightly.
- A map for ghostface that's obviously not from the movies because that isn't allowed but could draw similarities to his general theme.
- A map for Plague set in a Babylonian city.
- A map for Oni set at a haunted battlefield during the Feudal era.
- A map that swaps out hiding in lockers for other stuff instead. Like hiding in piles of bodies and stuff like that. Obviously still letting head on work.
- A map for Blight set in a pestula forest. Maybe have a victorian labratory too or have that as a separate map.
- A map for hag that is set in the desolate village she is from and some swampland surrounding it.
- A huge circus tent map for clown.
- A map for trapper set in a mineshaft.
- A map for deathslinger set in Hellshire Penitentiary.
- Demonic style maps Surreal effects, flora, settings, etc.
- A tundra map for huntress set in the Siberian wastes.
- A rock concert map or something for Legion. Or maybe a abandoned building/warehouse that looks like it gets used for parties, drugs, etc.

Temple of purgation should have been in a desert so I want a desert realm added. Maybe a little desert town?

I would love to see the Baker house from Resident Evil 7. For a non licensed map I think a theatre of some kind would be cool.

I personally want dark city streets, like Victorian London. Lots of alley ways to duck into, a couple of building to hide in. It would be cool if they took some of Blight’s memories and put his map as this. Maybe even the college that he went to. Maybe like this

I think a fun, indoor setting like an indoor arcade or amusement park would be pretty cool.
For me I think an underground mine would be an amazing map. Tunnels are long and narrow, branches that lead to others (or dead ends). The Killer Shack is in the Foreman's Office, the map gen can be in the center of the map and activate a cool little piece of the map.

We need a space map. Because all great horror movies go to space.

I would love any new map I'd prefer they make new maps instead of characters to be honest. I'd like to see a space map or an amusement park for sure

As far as aesthetic environments go, I'd really like to have some settings based around classic buildings of power. Medieval castles (and/or castle towns), ancient pyramids (tombs), middle-eastern palaces, or maybe even something set in the upper floors of a large skyscraper/tower.
For what it's worth, I could see them doing that abandoned mall idea as a later addition to Ormond. Maybe it's just because of the snow in that picture, but it seems like it would fit the vibe of that realm.

Run down Summer Camp and/or abandoned city blocks would be cool

I want a map matching Yui. Compact city streets.
Im pretty sure a lot of japanese people still believe in folklore and I know many of their demons specifically relate to red light districts AND they said they might add some anime ######### so a dark, rainy compact city street as a map isn't unbelievable

I would love a techno futuristic type map, neon lights, monitors, etc. I know this isn't a killer discussion post but a cyber killer that can teleport through monitors would be cool. And survivors can break the live monitors after first use and can't be used for 20 or 30 seconds.

I want a house of mirrors and it should be filled with statues of all the killers randomly placed.

I would like an abandoned theme park/circus maybe even the one Clown was in before he fled justice. Or a beach map with a pirate ship/ fort. If we got a civil war killer (Gettysburg). The beaches of Normandy would be interesting (D-Day). A mansion would be cool.
