Prove thyself makes SoloQ alot easier

I start a match and 90% of the time another survivor joins me on the gen. Its not like there was no other gen near, they just decided to group up.

There are 7 Gens on the map, when theres no corrupt. SEVEN

It should be obvious that splitting up makes it harder for the killer to stop gens. But i guess not.

Working together on a gen gives 15% slowdown. Same as 3 stacks of thana.

Dont get me wrong there a situations where you should group on gens.

But at the start you should only do it when you spawn with 3-4 survivors on one gen and can finish it before the killer comes.

With prove thyself you give the killer atleast no additional slowdown perk.

    Love Prove Thyself.

I always run it. The extra Bloodpoints are nice too.

Just as a different opinion: splitting up on gens in early game allows the killer to find a chase more quickly. If you start with 2 people on one gen and the killer finds someone else, the gen is almost guaranteed done.

Once the killer is in chases, splitting up makes more sense.

Besides that, there are many things you think are obvious but actually take a lot of time to learn, for some people even only being possible if they get told or need to see in videos or streams. Once you got there, you can say DBD is an easy game, but it definitely isn't. That's why the bad emblem system causes such a pain, because almost everyone can reach red ranks and makes matchmaking such a disease

Btw Prove Thyself only lessens the slowdown, it doesn't nullify

If you want to rank up Prove Thyself is good for the points, but if I still think the single perk that has the most impact in terms of coordination in SQ in Kindred. If you're on hook, you're coordinating the team and relaying killer info. If you're not, you can see your whole team and prevent second stages or stay on gens while you watch the rescue.

The problem is that when you use Kindred and you see all 3 other survivors crouch walking or sprinting towards you, you lose all faith in humanity.

I prefer to group up untill I've done 2-3 gens and then start looking to get chased or do totems.

Some people actually don't care about getting out in 3 minutes and want to play the game.

And you get a lot more bp by joining up too. In terms of escaping it's the best play. In terms of fun not so much.

But when he finds the gen with two survivor you can lose all the progress. Against most killer you should be able to get enough time to complete a gen alone, even when the chase starts after 10 sec in the match. To catch up to the sprintboost after a hit and to hook a survivor is so much time.

Two gens after the first chase is an average start.

When i play solo i can only dream of 3 minute games. Sure there are aome matches, where i get 3 good survivor and gens go fast. But i prefer to slowdown after 3 gens are done instead of trusting my teammates.

Matches with no early gens are most of the time only waiting to be killed.

Prove thyself only saves 4-8 seconds and thats only if someone is on the gen with you the entire time. Waste of a perk slot. use resilience instead.

Prove Thyself is one of those "I love it... when someone else brings it" perks. This and Open-Handed are always welcome surprises. :D

On that matter empathy is much worse as you watch ppl self caring in the corner from 128m away. :P

I love Prove Thyself. I run Bond, too, and its a great combo to get gens done. Plus the extra BP is really nice.

I have to disagree. Often times I can't get my teammates to commit to gens, and they instead focus on chases and saves. Call me cynical, but after a few thousand hours of play, I've decided using perks that depend on my teammates performing actions are 100% unreliable.

Also I have to add that Prove Thyself often leads to a 3-gen for the Killer because Survivors will stack on the gens they spawn near, and then all the remaining gens end up on one side of the map.

even then you can get one hit and the other pressures the gen again, forcing the killer either to go for a healthy survivor chase or let go of the gen, while 2 other survivors are unaffected completely and probably finish other gens.

Not that easy to package a "2 survs at first gen" into a single scenario. Also depends on the gen. Easy to defend for killer or between two pallets/vaults, near the edge or more centered gen... can be a risk but can be worth it. It is not wrong by default. That's all I'm saying

Eh. As a solo survivor, Ruin is a lot stronger than it was. If it's not cleansed, I'm not going to work on a gen alone. One hook and I lose all my progress either because they BBQ to me or because I have to make the save. And I swear, every time I run Prove I get like 700 Legions with Discordance.
