Are you ever just absolutely shocked
by how bad your solo survivor teammates are?
I don't expect much, but sometimes my jaw literally drops.
Just spawned in by a Meg on some Autohaven map (no idea which, I can't see anything), with a bus. We hear the terror radius almost immediately. She throws the pallet at the bus on a Ghostface who didn't even realize we were there.
The other day I watched a David on Midwich throw a pallet when the Wraith was chasing someone else and was LITERALLY RUNNING OUT THE DOOR ABOUT 20 FEET AWAY.
I have teammates constantly throw pallets ON ME when I'm running behind them to protect them when they're injured.
It's just mind boggling how these people ever leave yellow ranks.

I’ve stopped playing survivor for the night, the queues are long so it’s throwing me in with actual yellow ranks. And when I do get a red rank teammate they go down to a Pig in 10 seconds and then rage quit, or struggle til the very last second of their hook state so I can’t get the hatch while the killer chases me.
Killers have been better teammates to me than other survivors today.

Ya it's been said but it's too easy to pip.

Yeah, they can be either very un-altruistic, or too altruistic. There is no in between. I have literally had a match where everyone went down to a demo AFTER I cleansed NOED. One wanted flashlight saves, the other one wanted sabo plays, and the third one just went down easily and was on the hook. I went down due to the the killer having mcdonalds wifi... I promise.

Oh yeah. No one does more damage than your teammates, that's for sure. Just had yet another game with three people alive and one gen to go and the other two fully healed just stopped playing while I tried to finish the last gen injured. I deranked because I had three Ghostface games in a row, and two were on the new garbage Autohaven so I just killed myself on first hook in all three games. Glad the DC penalty is a thing though.

Gotta love Solo Q. I had a Claudette who I nicknamed Twitchy since every single time the TR even played slightly, she was off like a shot. I mean, sure, TR means danger, but not when you can literally SEE the killer 30 feet off in the distance chasing someone. And to make it worse, I suddenly hear the pallet drop and she fast vaults a locker, without Q&Q with absolutly no killer in sight. And that's not the worst part either. This Claudette was rank 1. RANK 1. Sure, ranking is easy, etc, etc, but COME ON. Surely you know how to play at this point semi-decently if you're in the red ranks

I posted this a few days ago but nobody responded, so I’ll paste it here because it is entirely relevant to this discussion:
Match starts and within a few seconds I notice Myers in the distance so I hide until he passes. Not too far away I notice he slows so obviously he begins stalking somebody else. I take the opportunity to make some distance between us, but NO! The person that is getting stalked sees that she is being stalked and sees me running off in the distance so what does she do? She follows me! So now Myers notices me, too. I run around a building but Myers is coming around the other side so I turn around and try to go through a window but I wind up getting sandbagged by the person initially stalked just as Myers reaches Tier 3. I go down. But instead of running further away the other person remains inside the building and attempts to heal (close enough that Myers can hear). She goes down, too. I go up on the hook. While I’m on the hook a third person runs up and tries to heal the initial stalkee. Myers is still in tier 3 and HE goes down, too! In the meantime, the fourth person finishes a gen so what does he do? Rushes right over! Tier 3 finally elapses but it’s too late. 2 on hooks, one on the ground and the fourth is being tunneled. Game over in less than 4 minutes. The kicker? Everybody was in red ranks.

Solo queue never surprises me anymore.

I wish I was shocked 😲 by my teammates play anymore.
Sadly, I expect it.
I am more shocked when I get quality teammates, and so appreciative.
Thanks to all of those of you putting in quality survivor gameplay during my solo games!

They can be both too - take a protection hit when the killer has two metres to carry you, then when you actually could wiggle off it's time to get in a locker for no reason

I had a good Claudette teammate the other day and I was shocked. I even sent her a message telling her she was like a unicorn.
I always expect teammates to be bad but sometimes individual things are just so bad I am still able to be shocked.

I don't remember the last time thinking I had a pretty good chance at winning a solo match.

LOL
This sounds right though. I had something similar happen with a Miguel the other day. I got slugged and I was at a pallet and instead of throwing it and touching me to get me up, two teammates got slugged right along with me. I don't even care about losing, it was just so painful to watch. I honestly do not know how so many people are so absolutely clueless as to how to play this game.

Lately it's only when killers are ~working on challenges~ that I feel I MIGHT escape.

i only really get shocked when the end game chart reveals them to have been red ranks when they played like green ranks at BEST.

It has become the norm, bad survivors at high ranks are no longer shocking. I've come to expect survivors at red ranks to:
- Die in record breaking mere seconds against m1 killers
- Run a long distance behind countless walls before they feel safe to heal
- Not fake unhooks, just get pulled off. You can just tell when it's gonna happen
- Waste pallets after getting hit...
- CLEANSE before even going to the broken state, only to then immediately do something to get infected again (This can happen throughout the match).
- ... not dodge projectiles? I mean, come on. Don't just run in a straight line in plain sight of the huntress.
Honestly, even though I play with my brother 99% of the time, whenever we're not being chased we just countdown slowly '3... 2... 1... downed' out loud when another survivor gets chased and it's not even funny how often that is actually the case.
Some red rank survivors would last longer in a chase by just holding shift+w to create as much distance as possible, rather than mind gaming at loops.

Honestly my red and purple teammates are the worst I ever have.

It was just so stupid. Every single one of them should have known better. The Myers music TELLS you when he’s reached tier 3 and considering how close the down survivor was too my hook only an idiot would have assumed they had enough time to heal her. What’s the damned rush? You have like a minute of safety on a first hook. Would it really have been so hard to wait until tier 3 elapsed. Christomighty!
OK, done ranting now.

I just had a fully healed teammate throw the pallet in the basement of the house on Preschool AGAINST VICTOR
