Killer switch on lobby, a survivor question.

Survivors, would you like to shorten your queue by having the killer choice enabled in lobby again? Or do you rather get dodged cause of killer tactical reasons?

Are you implying that Killers stopped playing because they cant switch in the Lobby anymore?

My guess is that this person is addressing the growing qeue problem for Survivor. I don´t think this is the way though, and highly unlikely on top of that. If one day they create a functioning MMR, they are determined to implement it, and in the months/years until this happens Killer lobby lock will remain in place no matter what the feedback looks like.

For killer lock to ever go away the entire MMR system would have to be entirely scrapped forever, as the way it works with seperate killer MMRs makes it a required feature.

As a surv I think it was more fun when killers could switch in lobby. Kinda made funny names irrelevant lol.

Last second switching is a 'survivor only' privilege that the devs have no intention of addressing.

What are you talking about? Survivors are all the same. On top of that, according to the DEVs, the timeframe between seconds 5 and 6 is more than enough to change your entire build to account for 4x last switching. If you happen to play Trapper or Hag, why don't you always use a bad or expensive loadout to combat flashlights and maps? They can't hold your hand on everything. /S

    I know!

My bad for loading in as Wraith :(

Given the speed at which players are expected to enter Twitch codes, I can't really tell if the timing portion of your reply was sarcasm.

Survivors are only skins, yes. But at the same time each survivor can represent a totally different premade load-out of perks and addons. 6 Seconds are not enough to change 4 perks and an item plus addons, given the ever increasing pool, if you don't every position of everything by heart.

I mean.. I usually have instant queues as survivor and killer so no; I like it the way it is.

The /s at the end of a post is meant to indicate sarcasm iirc. It was meant as a joke.

Killers look at me and leave the lobby.

My comment is more for the general public and people with no "/s" mentality towards this point, not you directly. (I didn't miss the /s 😉).

But I thought it would be better to quote your text.

I played killer and queue was usually under 5 minutes or instant. I played survivor yesterday afternoon and had 5 matches under 2 hours so queue was again under 5 minutes

My queue times are dependent on the time of day I play, so I just adjust my role to suit.

The reason that killers are locked into their character is due to the MMR, and whilst it's still not active, it means that when it is active it can be implemented without having to update the game and make further changes.

As a killer, I don't really change my build regardless of the survivors in the lobby, items don't bother me as I figure items are easily found in game anyway, so it makes no difference. I run the build that I feel comfortable with and works to my playstyle on that particular killer.

I'd personally like some sort of guarantee that preparing for what I'm facing, as intended by the game's basic design, can't be completely negated by a 1-second mouseclick.

I've asked the devs if they will ever address it or add measures against it, but I've been met with silence each time :-/

the game has to survive those months/years lol

with back 4 Blood coming in half a year, and Evil Dead coming some point next year, good luck dead by daylight since you might just become dead before dawn.
