Reported for being “nice”?
Playing as killer, I came across this team whose Dwight, the first one I got hooked, inmediately gave up, so they where 3 vs. me with 5 engines yet to be repaired. When something like this happens (or they got disconnected at the very beggining), I always let one or two survivors escape, since I saw youtubers doing this apologizing for them being at disadvantage. Soooo after I let a surv escape, one of his partners I killed texted, saying he was gonna report me for “playing together”. Dude whaaat?
Just wanna know what you think of this.

There's some details missing to make a judgement call.
Letting survivors escape is not bannable. It's possible that person was simply salty that you killed them.
However, if the survivor you allowed to escape revealed to you the position of their teammates, or sandbagged them, that could be classified as working with the killer and griefing. Which are bannable.

I've been in a similar situation a few times, when I've accidentally killed someone by losing count of their hookstates.
You should be fine, as long as you were not actively forcing someone to farm with you or weren't signling someone specific out.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Threats to report someone who did nothing wrong are very common.

For that type of report to be legit, the survivor(s) would have to have been helping you kill the others. As long as nothing like that happened, it's meaningless.

Letting a survivor escape as a killer is not bannable/reportable - I've often done it as a killer, given the last person the hatch for example if they've played well etc. However, it becomes reportable if you've worked with that survivor to kill someone else on the team, that's where the line is drawn.
