Does Diversion go through walls?

When I use Diversion does the "pebble" actually have physics? If I use it in front of a wall does the killer just see a notification right in front of me or does it always show a notification some distance away from me in the area I was facing?

    According to trivia section of 'official' wiki on the perk:
    'Thrown pebbles do not collide with walls and objects such as Lockers IconHelp lockers.png, and hence will only create noise notifications upon colliding with the ground or floor.'
