Why isn’t there a rogue Killer?

All current Killers are controlled by the Entity and follow its bidding.

Why isn’t there a Killer that retains their free will and independent motives?

From a game mechanic and lore perspective. The concept seems possible and actually pretty interesting.

To a degree, this holds true for Myers. The entity seems to struggle to control him.

I wonder why a rogue Killer would put Survivors on hooks to sacrifice them, though, or use offerings/perks given by the entity.

Does the Doctor count? I think he would be killing and torturing regardless of the entity controlling him or not

There is one, i.e. Myers. He wasn't forced into the realm, and doesn't need the Entity's permission to kill by his own hand. Mikey doesn't follow any rulebook but his own. The fact that it appears to line up with the Entity's wishes is merely a coincidence for now. The Entity is from somewhere else. Michael is the homegrown boogeyman; the Shape is nothing but a human shell driven by an ancient spirit. Mikey does what Mikey wants.
