Am I a bad player?
People always say it's easy to get to rank 1 as either side, but I've never gotten to either and I've been playing since 2016. I feel like I'm a bad player because I can't get there.

I try to play a couple or more games a day.

I've seen better grey rank players than some red ranks. Rank really means nothing.

I suppose so, but it would still be nice to say I made it to rank 1.

I'm a Rank 1 killer and Rank 2 survivor and I can say, for the amount of pain you have to put up with in order to get there it's not worth it.

I'm already rank 4 as killer and 9 as survivor.

if you only play 2-3 games a day then i am not shocked you haven't reached r1.
survivor q takes ages and if you play solo depends heavily on your team mates or the killer if you pip or not. If the gens get done in 2 minutes and you didn't get a chance to be chased or save gg your pip.
Killer is just a stressful slog. you will pip easily until red ranks where the requirements become more demanding and you run into 4 man swf often.
You just don't play enough, doesn't mean you are bad.

Honestly that's true and for killer along with more swf that means you run into way more toxicity.

You hit rank 1 just by playing about 5 - 20 games a day. That's about all it takes.
You don't have to be necessarily good, I can't run a killer very well at all; but I am red rank 1 survivor. It's about time, not actual skill; hence why the ranking system is considered universally terrible.
Also, if you are not a survivor who like....wasted god pallet for no reason, doesn't hook farm survivors without perks to support it at least, etc....you're fine. The people hiding in a corner just self caring all game are the bad players; if you are doing what you can you're already better than like 80% of the red rank survivors I run into.

As survivor I am usually the one caught first and chased for the first minute or 2 while my teammates seem to be doing nothing, so chases aren't my problem. other than me inevitably dying cause I make a mistake. as killer I 4kd tonight as wraith, so idk if that says anything. I used the red aura reading one and a surprise attack one.

My issue is I cant do gens most of the time because I'm being chased. And its irritating cause even if I'm using a stealth build I get caught right away.

Getting to rank 1 can be done with time. However, it's easier to get to rank 1 if you're a solid player. If you're struggling as either killer or survivor it's because you haven't quite figured something out.

90% of red ranks are Premade abusers so they are a bunch of carried bs

I've been doing better than I ever have actually. I'm not struggling with much except getting seen when urban evading at the beginning of the match. So I'm constantly in chase.

Actually I've found a lot of nice and respectful red ranks. Which is what I try to be. No camping, tunneling, or any toxicity in general.

Would you mind telling me what perks you run as survivor, what perks you run as killer, and what killer is your main?

I run different builds on all survivors and killers. And I dont main anyone.

My matches go anywhere from me standing in a corner so I dont get bullied to me closing the hatch while someone is teabagging on it.

So, you're going to have an easier time ranking up with killer if you consistently use a killer. You'll learn how to use their power really well. It's only when you get that level of consistency that you're going to get to rank 1 with killer. As survivor, until you've hit rank 1, I really suggest using Sprint Burst, Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, and Unbreakable. It's a bit of a BS build, but as BS as it is it really covers the basics of doing well with survivor.

I dont speak about Killers, they cant get carried by team mates as premade by clicking M1

Well I made examples of killer things, but I meant survivors too. Either as solo q or as a killer people can be pretty nice.

I usually screw up sprint burst unless I have Urban evasion. I don't get slugged very much which sucks, so unbreakable wouldn't help much. I actually use We'll Make It because I dont usually do unsafe hook rescues. And if I have ds I get tunneled out of the game. I appreciate the suggestions though. Thank you.

The skill ceiling for DBD is based on Survivor Perk Build and Killer Choice/Perks, if you use the meta you will ascend past those that don't and using meta perks is a requirement to survive red ranks on both killer and survivor.

In order for you to be considered a bad player we'd have to see actual gameplay. But until then, I can't say.

no your not a bad player its just theres a lot of toxic was to play and everyone uses them it makes it hard to rank up so dont worry about rank to much just focus on haveing fun

Is very easy to rank 1 in this game. Is es for killer if u play alone. Solo Q take more time because teammates ######### games. But if if u play 4 o 5 game get rank 1 or u are bad

I mean everyone is different, some are better at other types of games etc. Three months after getting this game I was rank 1 on both sides. Now I had this game for over a year and I play very little killer these days so atm I'm on purple ranks there. Crossplay made it harder on killer side also since us console players have a few disadvantages. If you play every day rank 1 should not be that hard to reach.
