Reaction to facecamping / proxy camping against SWFs?
Been playing for a few months (146 hours), sitting in purple/green tier for both survivor and killer. I'd describe myself as an OK player still unlocking the perks I want to use and learning the ropes on both sides.
I'm at the point where I generally make quick work of solo survivors if I try hard or can opt for a more relaxed game... maybe let one or two escape if their other teammates were potatoes. But, I generally have high stress 0k/1k games against rank 1/2 coordinating SWFs (they always seem to be rank 1/2 SWFs...).
I avoid facecamping or proxy camping because I find that an uninteresting way to play and generally SWFs will punish you by focusing on gens. Tbagging doesn't bother me either - it just means you're wasting time in front of me instead of holding W or losing LOS. However, once I see bullying behavior or "overly coordinated behavior" and I'm down to 1 gen or gates, I yield and facecamp / proxy camp one poor unfortunate soul (who preferably was the most obnoxious player), baiting the SWFs to dive bomb the hook. So am I the jerk here? And when survivors complain of facecamp / proxy camp, is it often within this extenuating circumstance?

You're playing Killer.
No matter how you play, you will be a jerk to the survivors, because you are the opposition.
Playing by the Survivors Handbook and as a survivor garners you no sympathy points I'm afraid.
Answering your final question is difficult, because first we have to define facecamping and proxy camping, suffice it to say, everyone has their own definition and quite are dissimilar. The short answer is No, because of the variation from your exact circumstances, the long answer is Maybe, as there are some trolls who do it maliciously, but it's hard to tell them from the other folk using the hook as bait.

Most people in this game view the opposition as some sort of enemy, and not as their fellow gamer, as it should be.
I would agree you dont have to play by the survivor rulebook, but you can still determine how you want to play, keeping that in mind.

Not really, no. If it's down to the gate not at all.
However when you have one gen left unless you know it's going to go in like 3 seconds or something you can still make a lot of headway in that time; so I wouldn't fall back to that too early ideally.
It does make you predictable though, people -expect- the killer to camp the last person, so they start formulating plans and such to deal with that. Don't be surprised if someone fakes an unhook; takes the hit; then dead hards through the person so you hit the guy with BT and then everyone guards each other out the door or something.
