There are two ways a new Coldwind could go
- The map is literally thermoptic camo and the corn is even more awful to see through than before.
- The maps turn into reskins of Shelter Woods because they have tons of dead zones and little cover because the corn was toned down too much.
Honestly, I think the Coldwind Maps shouldn't even be touched because they're so reliant on the corn being hard to see through, but not impossible. And the Devs keep making questionable lighting choices because they want everything to be "spooky" instead of realistic.

the only thing I have confidence in these devs doing is making corn even more impossible to see through. As far as pallets, dead zones etc, dunno.

Why don't no one like the maps being dark? I think it's good as it helps promote a stealthy play style.

However it goes, I just want it to look good. Not been a big fan of the map updates so far. Especially Autohaven.

I feel like they could do better in regards to the ground textures. At least have foliage on them, it's so wierd that a map covered in trees has zero leaves on the ground.

I dunno I like new ormond a lot. Autohaven is ugly as hell though, and a bit killer sided now.
There is dark like macmillan which is fine, and then there is so dark you are walking into walls on one of the estate maps and everything is just a mass of black in one area.
Maps like that are why people just end up messing with the games visuals, lowering settings, and adjusting gamma and such so they can see.

Because looping is better on both sides when you can actually see the loops. No one likes getting stuck on stuff

How is new autohaven killer sided? Many of the loops have been made wider/longer, there aren't any holes in the tiles you can peek through like before, and most of the general loops don't have LOS blockers. If anything, Ormond is the one that's become more killer sided since the rework (although it's much better than what it was like before. Just needs the snow mound loops to be a tiny bit longer/higher and it's perfect.)

There is a hole in the primary jungle gym setup, same place it was in pre - rework actually, right next to a potential pallet spawn.

Better to focus on Haddonfield, he is currently the successor to the old Ormond and the worst of all.

- Each piece of corn is individually a breakable prop on the maps.

I used to hate Cold Wind, since I play Myers, but now that I play the Spooky variety of Michael I actually prefer it over the old west or Crotus where I can be seen coming a mile away. The corn doesn't stop my wall hack, and I actually can sneak up pretty easily. :)
