Doing old Tomes, how come David's Challenge is not doable?

Can't select this challenge for David in Tome 2. Why is that?

  Are you trying take reward for previous challenge? If thats not helping than its bug i think

  You haven't actually claimed either of the challenges next to his challenge. Once you claim one (do the left it's less bloodpoints) you can access it.

  You have to take either the jane challenge or the survivor challenge to be able to do the middle one.

  Ohhh silly me so you need to claim the award first! Noted haha. I was thinking of saving up the BP here for the next killer/survivor release. Guess I'll do the killer side of the quests now.
