Did killers get any good patchnotes even once ?

Seriously, I have never seen anything even close to what survivors are getting when compared to killers whenever new patch notes are released. Every single patch that I've seen is survivor sided while killers enjoy their stuff nerfed. Is this intentional ?

Within the past few years, killers have received more buffs than survivors. This patch alone is giving Clown a huge buff and Wraith a nice, little one as well.

    Wraith is a buff

Trapper is Just a Fix to make traps less rng. So a nerf and a buff. Depends how Lucky you are in the past with traps.

The best killer buff we got was the hook tracker.

Little one? Do you think make wraith invisibility at 24m and less visible at 16 is a little buff?

also with this change 1vs 1 at egc you won’t be able open the door, because you won’t see the killer until he sees you

  • This patch is... something.

Im concerned about what they DIDN'T mention.

I.E. Keys, Ds/Unbreakable, OoO, and the entire host of absolutely useless perks (Sole Survivor literally doesn't even work, and monstrous shrine is less than useless.)

On top of that, they literally made animations so that teabagging "is still satisfying" I'm sorry, but thats a massive red flag. Rather than trying to reduce toxicity, they literally paid to make an animation for it.

Why are you surprised? As long i remember devs have always favored survivors and i played since 2016. They will ONLY nerf survivors if survivor queques are getting too long, simple as that. With most survivor nerfs they are extremely careful how they approach them, like doing PTB's, if they nerf certain addons like insta heals, insta gens, keys they announce it months prior so survivors can spam them.

Yeah, I can recall a good set of patch notes for the Killer.

Patch 1.1.0 Chapter I: The Last Breath Chapter, realised on 18 August 2016 introducing the Nurse with 3 Teachable Perks. Stridor, Thanatophobia, and A Nurse's Calling.

Most of the patch notes since the game launched have been good for killers. Look at how stupid survivor sided the game was at launch, look back at the game today, and give thanks that it's now and not then.

Edit: Also, are we ignoring the Trapper buff, Wraith Buff, Clown Buff, and Iron Maiden Buff because the Undying/Ruin meta got nerfed?

You can't hardly call that a rework, they added 1 thing. A yellow bottle

Wraith is buffed, but it had to be like that for a long time. After all, he's still visible at short distance so that part doens't change, he's still the same m1 killer

The trap will do nothing, 1-6 tries, good luck getting there. He needs a buff thats get survivors scared of traps

Iron maiden is nice, but probably most e girls who play huntress get their thing aswell

And they added new UI, which btw noone asked

Tbh, this patch is not great at all. Im holding m breath on the amount of extra bugs this patch will have

Just the removal of god windows and map reworks was one of the best changes killer ever got

Wraith buffed. Trapper buffed. Undying is at worst a lateral move.

Compared to survivors getting never used perks buffed to still never used status.

So how did killers come out of this patch bad again?

    • more than half of the pallets and some god windows removed (cow tree and shack had two windows)
    • vault speed buff (killer)
    • bloodlust
    • pallets vaccum removed
    • exhaustion mechanic (perks had cooldowns and you could use balanced landing after you used sprint burst)
    • exhaustion nerf (exhaustion recovered while running (80sec) so you could use multiple sprintbursts in one chase)
    • most infinites removed
    • map reworks (breakable walls and more loops got changed into "unsafe loops"
    • balanced landing nerf (that perk is pretty much dead now)
    • some perk buffs (tinkerer, pop (original 30sec on tier 3)
    • d strike rework (old dstrike was even more unfair...like getting striked when the wiggle bar reaches 35% without hooking the survivor once)
    • multiple sabo nerfs (hooks/traps could be disabled for the rest of the game)
    • multiple healing nerfs + self care nerf
    • two bnp nerfs and flashlight nerfs (insta blind)
    • faster pick up + hook animation for killer
    • end game collaps and hatch closing mechanic

    some examples

those nerfs were definitly needes but saying that survivors always get buffed and killers nerfed is bs.

These are valid points but I feel like killers get good stuff 1:10 ratio when compared to survivors. Are they really that well tuned and balanced ? I feel 80% of killers are non-viable in a higher ladder.

Wraith received no meaningful changes. True invis at extreme distances. Whoop-dee-doo, you can still see him when it matters and his mobility/chases are both pathetic.

Trapper was nerfed. They removed the ability for his traps to high roll, but maintained the ability for survivors to get out on the first try.

well exhaustion nerf, pallets reduce and vaccum removal were a really big deal back then and ended chases a lot quicker. 5 gen chases were common in the past if the survivor were decent.

i understand the frustation on both sides but survivors didnt get much buffed in the past (and dont need them tbh)

killer was much harder in the past but yes in some matches you can still feel very helpless. there a still a lot of tweaks needed.

most killers are viable in red ranks... i see most killers fail bc bad tactical decisions which leads into gen rush.

otzdarva for example plays very tactical and wins often with weaker killer like trapper.

Everyone: RNG is bad an unreliable.

BHVR: We made the RNG still RNG but now it's more reliable

Everyone: It's still RNG just....slightly less of it....That's...that's not solving the problem....

BHVR for the next year or two on the matter: ___________________________________

They should have asked in Otzdarva or someone to assist them with trapper; since they apparently don't play their own game maybe someone with experience who legit wants fair games for both sides, could help them actually do things correctly.
