Never because they aren't adding auto aim.

sorry i meant 'aim dressing'.......

Why would there be an option to make the animations worse?

Honestly they need to fix aim dressing.
Survivors who are familiar with how it works can use the system to end your lunge prematurely. When otherwise you would have gotten the hit.
Other times it'll pull you towards an object the survivor is next to, instead of where they actually are.

Certainly. If the system determines a hit occurred then it should.
If an object is between the killer and survivor either:
A: go through the object
B: don't dress the animation

why are you even here? to just start drama?

To ensure conclusions aren't being drawn based on a misunderstanding of how the system works.

Well explain it all indepth then.

Basically, when you preform an attack command the attack is immediately registered as a hit or a miss. This is before any animations are played.
Then, the game plays an animation to represent this outcome. Aim dressing is only done in order to fix cases where something that otherwise visually looks like a miss is a hit and vice versa, so that you never have situations where you hit a Survivor with your weapon being nowhere near them or your weapon phasing through a Survivor or something.
Again, your attack hitting or missing has already been predetermined before the animation has played. Heck, I've seen some times where the Survivor icon updates before it's supposed to, meaning that it can show the damage before the animation finishes even. This is inconsistent and probably a bug however.

You do not know to what you are asking.

If you are missing attacks that you think you should be hitting then that's an issue with the hitbox, which is completely different and is just a cone created on-click.

interesting, to me this still does not explain why you can randomly turn to an inanimate object and swing when you clearly are not trying to aim at the object and the survivor is definately not in a rock.

I do know what im asking though? i'd like to understand it if i don't

It was a jab at Burrito. 😁

yes, makes sense...

Indeed it does not. I'd need to know the specifics behind how the animation alteration works to answer that one. My knowledge is from what the devs have stated about how the code works, which is what I have already said, that the success of your attack isn't tied to it's animation and the animating is done after deciding the attack outcome and not before.
If I had to make a guess, it'd be that it prefers to show the Killer hitting an object rather than hitting air on missed attacks. I DO know that there is a real problem when it comes to Survivors on hooks, since they are considered a valid target and can sometimes make you hit them instead of another Survivor that is otherwise in range (since both are in the hitbox and you can only hit a single Survivor at a time).

Only it can happen at the start of your lunge or half way through. It also seems to happen more often vs console users and when their ping is 70 and up.
I only really started to get aim dressing issues when cross play was implemented.
Don't believe everything these devs tell you. We all saw the explanation about how aim dressing works on their stream. The problem is that what they say does not match reality.
