Got bored, made a full slenderman killer loadout for fun
Name: The Myth
Height: Tall
Terror radius: 32m
Ability:
Your image is enough to provoke fear and dread in those who see you, and cause insanity in those who stare too long.
While outside of a chase, for every second a survivor sees you, they accrue 20% madness, which will take effect once they look away. Madness will not decrease by itself.
By holding the ability button, all survivors currently inflicted with madness will have their madness drain by 20% per second and have their aura revealed to you, and you will be slowed down. If their madness reaches 0%, they will go down a tier of madness until the madness debuff is removed entirely. Survivors in tier 3 can still snap out of it, resetting their madness to 50% through tier 1.
Whilst within a chase, if the survivor you are chasing looks at you, they will become oblivious for 10 seconds once they look away.
Addons:
The First Page - Common
A page with drawings of trees close together. One of the trees almost looks like a man.
Slightly increases your speed while revealing survivor auras.
The Second Page – Common
A page with the words “CAN’T RUN” scribbled on them, as if the writer was panicked,
While revealing survivors, they are inflicted by blindness.
Snapped Twig – Common
A twig broken in two, it doesn’t seem to come from any plants around the campfire.
Survivors gain slightly (2%) more madness per second.
Torn Paper – Common
A torn fragment of paper. Something important seems to have been drawn on it, but the rest of it is lost to time. Survivors madness will slowly drain at 3% per second. Gain 30% more bloodpoints in the deviousness category for every survivor who has madness
The Third Page – Uncommon
A page with a tree drawn on it. Writing on the page says “LEAVE ME ALONE.” After revealing survivors for 5 seconds, they suffer exhaustion for 10 seconds.
The Fourth Page – Uncommon
A page that only has the words “HELP ME” written on it, scribbled in a panic. Moderately increase your speed while revealing auras.
Teddy Bear – Uncommon
A plush toy found in the woods after a boy wondered into them. The boy was never found.Survivors gain moderately (4%) more madness per second.
Roll of film – Uncommon
A roll of film found hanging from a branch. Most of the pictures are of animals, however one is too warped to make out what it’s meant to be. When a survivor looks at you outside of a chase, your terror radius is concealed from them for 10 seconds.
Polaroid – Uncommon
A polaroid picture. One could almost assume that no picture was taken on it where it not for the black marks on it. When a survivor looks at you while in a chase, your red stain is concealed for 10 seconds.
The Fifth Page – Rare
A page with a tree and a man drawn on it, with the word “FOLLOW” written down the side. You no longer suffer from movement slowdown while revealing auras.
The Sixth Page – Rare
A page that says “ALWAYS WATCHES – NO EYES.” A Face seems to be drawn on it with crosses instead of eyes. When survivors are working on a generator, their madness will drain at 10% per second and have their aura revealed.
Burned photograph – Rare
A photo that has been badly burned. All that can be seen is what seems to be a featureless face. While revealing auras, your aura is revealed to survivors inflicted by madness. If a survivor looks at your aura their madness will not drain.
Badly damaged doll – Rare
A plush doll that has been ripped to shreds by animals. It once belonged to a girl who disappeared in the middle of the night. Survivors gain tremendously (6%) more madness per second
Fractured camera lens – Rare
A camera lens that has been smashed to pieces. When your aura would be revealed, your aura will not be shown, and instead all survivors madness will drain at 5%/s. If no survivors are inflicted by madness your aura will be shown.
“Whatevers out there doesn’t show up on camera.”
The Seventh Page – Very Rare
A page with a small drawing of a man. Words written on it say “DON’T LOOK – OR IT TAKES YOU.” Whenever a survivor looks at you they are inflicted with exposed and are revealed by killer instinct. This effect remains for 3 seconds after they look away.
Journal – Very Rare
A journal of a man who lived in the forest. The entries slowly devolve into madness. While a survivor is in Madness II/III they suffer from blindness and obliviousness, and will have their aura revealed within 16 meters. In Madness II their madness will drain at 2%/s until they reach Madness I
“I’ve seen him, the myth. I have to leave.” - Last line written in the journal.
Missing person flyer – Very Rare
A flyer for a missing child who disappeared without a trace. When you down a survivor, all survivors on the map are inflicted by oblivious for 60 seconds. This effect ends prematurely if the survivor is healed to the injured state.
Broken Camera – Very Rare
A Camera destroyed beyond recovery, found jammed between 2 rocks in a forest. Survivors are unable to read auras created by other survivors. Instead, all survivors madness will drain at 5%/s. If no survivors have madness, they will see the auras.
The Eighth Page – Ultra Rare
A page with a man drawn by it, surrounded by the word “NO” over and over. Every time a generator is completed, all other generators will lose 75% of progress made on it.
Iridescent Camera – Ultra Rare
A camera made out of the fog, and in perfect condition. While a survivor is inflicted with madness, they are unable to see you from further than 24M away (Madness will still accrue from being looked at), and you will flicker between 24-8 meters.
“It’s just static, but nothing’s wrong with the camera. What’s exactly is in that forest?” -Unknown
Perks:
Forest Fog
The fog messes with your preys senses. Whenever a survivor vaults a window or pallet, they are inflicted by oblivious for 5/10/15 seconds.
Turned around
A sense of misdirection fall upon your prey. Whenever a generator is powered, 2/3/4 generators will have their progress swapped around. Exit gates will not be revealed to survivors.
Hex: Loneliness.
A hex rooting on paranoia and confusion. While this totem stands, survivors are unable to interact with interactables that already has a survivor working on it. This does not block healing (but will stop 2 people healing one person)

That one ire add-on is really op. Aside from that it looks pretty good!
0 -
Its 75% of made progress. For example a generator at 50% will lose 37.5% of progress.
0 -
That still seems really good, also isn't an add-on supposed to affect the killers power directly?
1 -
Not always. I'm pretty sure one of the killers has an addon that doesnt exactly apply to their power.
0 -
I'm pretty sure every add-on in the game is linked to a killers power in some way. This add-on would work far better as a per imo.
0 -
The power is good, although Slenderman teleports, also if he is in pursuit, he lets his tentacles show and with them make a special type of attack.
0 -
This is in the wrong section so it's going to be moved in a minute here I imagine.
Anyways, I actually REALLY like this a lot. I haven't seen a community idea I actually liked and didn't see any huge gaping problems with right off the bat; also using the madness mechanic was a good idea.
He needs a way to capitalize on the aura reading a bit though. Also this character would be way too strong on indoor maps and not strong enough on maps like mother's dwelling.

I think its interesting that this would encourage survivors to look away from the killer. (Could potentially counter object pretty hard) because so much of survivor play depends on watching the killer and looking behind you.
This would really throw a wrench into survivor playstyle. But at the same time just making him oblivious might not be strong enough to help him secure downs. Overall i think with tweaks its a workable concept for a fun unique killer.

The slowdown wouldnt be that bad (115% to 108%) thus could be used to see what a survivor does for a moment in a chase.
0 -
Another thing is that this is all 100% passive. The killer doesn't have to do anything for his power to work. He needs to have to take some active part in making the power work. Otherwise he'd be pretty boring to play.
0 -
It may be passive, but it also does still take effect as looking at the killer is required for a few mindgames. Also, if you manage to blend in and be seen by a survivor, they dont get inflicted by madness until they turn away.
0 -
I still think the killer needs to have an "m2" part of his power, which could be an addition that assists him more in chase.
0 -
Again, he can m2 to read auras of maddened survivors.
0 -
Yeah I just realized that I read it wrong.
I thought it meant survivors hold the button to drain their madness but when they do so their aura is revealed.
My bad

What do you think about when their madness is being consumed the survivor is slowed instead with their aura revealed?
0 -
That would be way too strong actually, nvm

The closest to this is The Sixth Page addon
The Sixth Page – Rare
A page that says “ALWAYS WATCHES – NO EYES.” A Face seems to be drawn on it with crosses instead of eyes. When survivors are working on a generator, their madness will drain at 10% per second and have their aura revealed.
0 -
I just know that seeing their aura wouldn't do anything against good survivors. They'd just ignore the madness, watch your movements and loop you to death. And then as soon as you break chase they'd just snap out and be fine.
Especially if the killer is punished by a slowdown, it would be pain.
0 -
Actually, aura reading can be very useful, especially in mindgames, to check where a survivor is.
Plus with looping a pallet, they can only rely on the stain for knowing when youre near especially if you have The Seventh Page and at that point theyre in hitting distance anyway.

The idea is cool, but you see, I really don't like basic M1 Killer's because they just don't have anything to help in chases. The aura reading from their Madness is a a useful information, but what matter most is how optimal the chases with him can be. At this point in chases, he's just a regular Wraith who can only walk and M1.
Tha'ts just my opinion, I would rather prefer KIllers with some special power that are useful in chases like Blight, Billy, Nurse, Leatherface, Pyramid, Twins and some others.

Great job thinking up all of this. And really cool concept.

I think that the majority of this is really solid. The main subject of concern is the fact that Slenderman is known specifically for not moving when he is seen - an issue for DBD. A way to work around this is his iconic tentacles being revealed when he's seen as a form of attack/grab.
Other than this, I'd really like for more of his addons to be variations of that Iri Camera addon - making his playstyle feel more like his original.
Lastly, I actually really love those perks. I think that you did a great job with those ideas.
Overall I loved your concept!!

BHVR obviously isnt opposed to making them not effect the Killer's power, shown with the original Mother's Helpers.
