Matchmaking improvements can't come soon enough

I have 21 hours in the game so far, mostly killer and some survivor. I've watched a lot of gameplay prior to buying so I do alright, but still. Just hit rank 15. I've had several killer games tonight against red/purple ranks with a random yellow, a couple against multiple red ranks. That said I don't really mind going against better players and getting 0-1k, it's good practice and better than a complete slaughter. One survivor who turned out to be a rank 1 I purposely chased and let the others do gens just for the practice.

The painful part though is the perk disparity. Going against teams where 2-3 survivors are not only better than me but also have full lvl 3 meta perk builds on killers with no slowdown perks besides sloppy and no add-ons is rough. Bitter murmur is good for tracking at least. I see a lot of people don't have faith in the devs coming through with the new matchmaking system but frankly, can it get much worse?

    Maybe not for you, you with your 21 hours could be lucky and see more streamer. Last time players with 5000 hours played against 10h player.

    It was the same like now, just more extreme. Many matches as rank 1 against only rank 20. I know its hard for you against red ranks, but as someone who watched many videos before playing, too, i can say there are many player worse than you. And i played against them when the matchmaking was released. It was hell.

    I can only imagine how much more disheartening it is to people who have no prior knowledge at all. I guess this is why noed is so popular at low ranks. I didn't check the rank 1's hours but they looped like I've seen people with thousands of hours loop. Pretty much flawless.
