I have come to the conclusion that the gameplay team is way too slow
These ######### devs decide to re-animate the tbag INSTEAD OF FIXING MATCHMAKING! WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT?! I AM A RANK 8 KILLER (was rank 7 until just now) AND I GOT MATCHED AGAINST 2 RANK 1S, A RANK 3, AND A RANK 16! SWF SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE THAT LARGE OF A GAP! I LOST MY RANK AND GOT ######### BECAUSE OF THE ######### MATCHMAKING THIS GAME HAS! WHY REANIMATE THE TBAG (inciting toxicity) INSTEAD OF FIXING THE ######### THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED! THE ######### PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT! WE NEED NEW DEVS IF THIS IS HOW THE PRIORITIES ARE! THEY DONT NERF DS AND THEY DONT NERF KEYS! THEY RE-ANIMATE TBAG, NERF UNDYING, AND CHANGE CLOWN! This post is idiotic.
If you had paid attention to the dev update Matchmaking WILL BE CHANGED soon. But they need to be sure it’s ready. They don’t want another disaster like last time when the switched on new matchmaking prematurely.

they better change it sooner and put a limit on SWF. This is some bullshit. They took time to reanimate the teabag instead of putting more work into what needs to be done.

Well, first of all, there's a matchmaking fix in this next patch coming up. If it works is another story, but it's coming.
They're reanimating all of the survivors basic movement, not just teabagging. How people can get so upset over a joke is astounding.
Also... No matter how bad the Devs piss you off, you shouldn't wish for them to lose their livelihood. That's just scummy.

2 entirely different teams. The animators have nothing to do with the team that codes the matchmaking algorithm.

they do ######### we don't need instead of fixing the ######### the community largely complains about. A lot of people hate matchmaking, a lot of people (especially killer mains) hate how keys were not nerfed while moris were.

either way the gameplay team needs to get working because the matchmaking system has always been terrible when they could just do an MMR system or reduce the range you can go against. Keep the ranks in the same color, red plays red, purple plays purple, low rank plays low rank.

Well, as others have pointed out, the animation team is separate from the balance team. There isn't just one team that does everything. A writer, for example, has nothing to do with map design.
Again, matchmaking is getting a supposed fix in the next patch. It's aim is to match you with only people of your skill level, rank will no longer matter. It will also let you practice with other killers without going against sweat squads. At least in theory.
Mori's were a simple numerical change and needed to be nerfed. Key's are getting nerfed, but more is changing. There is easily a chance that they are changing them with this next patch and simply not announcing it. Like they did with mori's.

Im glad it's getting a change but it still should've been here sooner. At least a limiter on the range a SWF can cover should be. Red ranks and rank 16s shouldn't be allowed to pair because the new player learns nothing and the killer gets screwed.

Alright my man, you really need to calm down.
I don't agree with a lot of the devs decisions, but you gotta understand that different departments do different things. The people that are updating animations and character models are not the people nerfing undying or in charge of the match making. Speaking of match making, they're changing it. Whether or not MMR will be good is up to debate, but at least they know it's an issue and they're trying to do something about it.
I understand that this game can be very frustrating, but please, try and convey your point in a less "10 year old on Xbox live" type way.

I understand but this ######### has been bothering me every time I play. I'm considering just quitting the game because every time I see another person complaining about matchmaking, it's almost like the gameplay team was just ignoring it. It feels like they don't give a rat's ass what the community wants. I'm in a few DBD communities (mostly ones for killer mains) and it is the most frequent thing I see people complaining about. They don't even need to do MMR, just make the gap smaller for who you can go against. Keep the ranks in the same color until you're about to leave that color. If you're rank 5 then it'd be ok for maybe a few rank 3s or 4s to be against you. But a SWF with 3 red ranks and a rank 16 should not be allowed because the new player learns nothing, the red ranks just troll, and the killer gets screwed.

Well, again, with the upcoming update rank will no longer matter. Everyone will start at rank 20 at the beginning of the month, but should still be ranked with their skill level.
I don't know how the new MMR will work with SWF.

and to quote Cote when he was asked about how unfair the game is to killers he said "maybe try survivor? or play another game?" they don't care about killers or what they want. the game is way unbalanced and it's not okay.

they should limit it. Similar to how Overwatch requires you to be within 2 whole rank classes of each other in order to play ranked together. So maybe a green and a red can play together. But not a red and a brown.

I just find it odd that you're complaining about the time that you were ranked with a bunch of rank 1s rather than the times you were ranked verses a bunch of brown ranks.
I'm not saying you are wrong to be angry to be in a match that was difficult, but if this was really about matchmaking surely you would bring that up as a supporting point. But I suspect that you don't actually care if you get put into a match where you can bully survivors, you only care when you yourself are bullied.

You seem like a lovely person and I'm sure the development team will take your constructive and calm criticism to heart. I know when I'm looking on ways to improve I love seeing angry people, who've forgotten to take their caps lock off, swearing and hoping I lose my job. It just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :)

Side note when matchmaking was implemented wasn't their acceptable range of ranks around 8 above or below the killer? Because if that is the case the outlying 16 was the only real anomaly.
