Killer Idea: The Matador

Appearance: A thinner man with a skull mask and a very old-fashioned hat. His weapon is a rapier

Speed: 115% (4.6m/s)

Terror Radius: 32 meters

Height: Average


Power: Raging Bull

Clicking and holding m2 for 3 seconds will make the Matador hold out a red flag to his left side, before quickly pulling it infront of himself. While charging this, the Matador moves at 100% speed. Instantly after this, a bull will appear. This bull will chase any Survivor within 12 meters of it, and moves at 110% speed. It can be stunned by pallets, but if a pallet is dropped to early, it will run into it and break it. It will be stunned for half a second if it runs into anything, including a pallet. It will either disappear if a Survivor it is chasing goes out of a radius of 18 meters of it, or if it injures a Survivor, which it does by catching up to and ramming into them, inflicting deep wounds. Being hit by the bull will stun a Survivor for 1 second, where they are on the ground but not downed, like if they escaped from a beartrap. The bull will also disappear if another bull is summoned by the Matador.

Secondary Power: Red Flag

Clicking and holding CTRL will make the Matador hold out the red flag like he does when charging Raging Bull, but he only slows to 105% instead of 100%, and will not summon a bull during this time. Unlike Raging Bull, which takes just as long as it took to charge to whatever point it was at to cancel (like Billy's chainsaw), Red Flag will cancel instantly once the player lets go of CTRL. For every 5 seconds Red Flag is held out, Raging Bull gains 1 charge. When a bull is summoned, 1 charge is lost. For each charge left overs after a bull is summoned, that bull moves 2% faster.


Add-ons would include:

  • Decreasing charge time for Raging Bull (only one, which is "slightly")
  • Increasing the speed the Matador moves at while charging Raging Bull or using Red Flag
  • Increasing the speed of the bull
  • Decreasing the stun time of the bull
  • Decreasing stun times for the Matador while using Red Flag
  • Increasing Survivor stun if they are hit by the bull
  • Increasing time it takes to mend when hit by the bull
  • Inflicting the Mangled, Hindered or Broken (this one is purple only) for 30 (brown ones, but also the broken purple one), 60 and 90 seconds respectively.
  • Decreasing the time it takes to get a charge from holding out Red Flag
  • Increasing the speed increase for each charge of Raging Bull (maxing at 1%)

Iridescent Add-ons:

Boar Tusk - The bull runs tremendously faster and is stunned for moderately less time when running into an object. The bull instantly downs Survivors if it hits them. You cannot use Red Flag.

This does not stack.

Iridescent Flag - The Matador will hold out the flag after 2 seconds of charging Raging Bull or after 2 seconds of using Red Flag, but the bull runs moderately slower and is stunned for considerably more time when running into an object. During these 2 seconds it takes before holding out the flag, the Matador still moves at 115% speed (this can be increased further by add-ons that makes the Matador move faster while charging Raging Bull or using Red Flag.)


Perks:


Limber - For 5 seconds after breaking a pallet or vaulting a window, the Killer moves 3/6/9% faster. While carrying a Survivor, the first initial attack can be a lunge.

"One must be swift to not be killed, one must be swifter to kill"


First Rodeo - For the first chase each Survivor is in, they vault pallets and windows 20% slower. If the Survivor drops a pallet the Killer would be stunned by, the Killer can click m1 to cancel their stun. This effect can only be used once every 100/80/60 seconds.

Further explanation that wouldn't be in the perk itself: By m1, it has to be a click, not a lunge, and it has to be used within a half of a second before the stun. If you hit the Survivor, First Rodeo doesn't activate.

"You suck at this, try again next time"


Hex: Setback - If a Survivor vaults a pallet and/or window twice within 1/2/3 seconds, the vaulted pallet(s) will break and the vaulted window(s) will be closed off, and the Survivor will be hindered for 30 seconds.

    Raging Bull is the mid range combat side of the power requiring the survivor to put distance between themselves and the killer

    Red Flag is the mind game counterpart to this giving the illusion of a raging bull use

    The problem I have with this setup is that Red flag has little positive impact if used. I believe it should punish survivors who run away to doge the bull thus bring them closer.


    Boar Tusk doesn't have a downside with Red Flag in its current iteration

    Iridescent Flag is a good trade off of power for removed downsides. The upside should be base kit for Red flag only imo.


    Limber - I do not understand why this shouldn't stack


    First Rodeo - I love the mind games this perk would bring


    Hex: Setback - I like the idea of a perk based around baiting a survivor into abusing a material so it will be removed


    Altogether a well built killer focusing on mind games

    Thanks for commenting! I'll definitely look into giving Red Flag a better effect, thanks for the suggestions on that front.

    Tbh I should make Limber stack, because speed builds seem like they could be really fun (PWYF, Limber, etc)

    Change log:

    • Updated Red Flag so for every 10 seconds it's held out, it gains a charge. The charges effects are described in the power itself
    • Added add-ons that decrease the time it takes to gain charges with Red Flag
    • Added add-ons that increase the speed gained for each remaining charge when a bull is summoned
    • Limber can now stack with other perks

    Oddly enough, being chased by a furious bull is a terrifying idea for me. Therefore I'm immediately in love with the idea!


    Besides, I'm a huge fan of VS Fighting games, and this killer give me some serious Laurence Blood (Fatal Fury) vibes, so I can only like it even more!
