What happened to the Stain?
So, I know they did something a bit ago, disabling Bloodlust for testing and such. But, I've noticed (at least since then) that many times during a chase, the Stain vanishes altogether. It's not Beast of Prey; chase music and heartbeat are still going strong. But I'm looking ahead, already injured and running for my life, with no red glow on my backside. Then all of a sudden, I'm hit and downed. No Red Stain ever appeared.
Happens with many different Killers. Why is this happening, and is it fixable?
(This is especially bad since I'm not too good at looking behind me, and I already have issues using Dead Hard properly since the Killer apparently gets a headstart in terms of ping / reaction time.. which is kinda bullhonky, but it's just how the internet works. Dedicated Servers are a different discussion.)

A lot of times when a more experienced killer is in chase he'll purposely look away from you to hide his red stain from your view so he can close the gap.
If you count to three and you've lost sight of the killer abandon the loop. He's trying to mindgame you and at that point it's better to just run forward to waste time and get to the next loop. Just rinse and repeat for as long as you're in the chase.

Aren't there a bunch of killer things that hide the red stain?
Also, I've seen killers hiding their red glows during chases by moon walking, mind gaming and just looking in certain directions during chases.

I'm not even looping. I'm running directly away, like I'm trying to get to the next area / pallet or window. It's bizarre..

Beast of Prey works by making the Killer Undetectable (no heartbeat) and removing the Stain after Bloodlust initiates. But that's not what's happening... :(
