Everyone.. if you don't see anyone with BBQ, what are you going to do?

I'm just curious about this. Do you camp? Do you search around? Do you leave to find other survivors?

you should camp... survivors never adepted to bbq by using lockers(why should they, they get perks for everything) . if you dont see 3 survivors you should camp to hook until you find them. that wastes most time for them.

you can technically camp the entire first hook stage, and have a massive gain in time.

I hardly even use it anymore, I’m done grinding and have plenty of addons for now.

I prefer whispers instead because a lot of console survivors are super immersed and some teams try to wait out my corrupt intervention.

All the immersive survivors get into lockers for BBQ anyways.

If I have a ton of time left I hit up nearby generators. If it’s down to the wire I usually stay close and prepare to tunnel them off the hook.

I try count the Auras that I see off in the distance first. Only 1 or 2? Someones either in a locker or nearby. So, I usually patrol around a little before leaving. Usually I'm right and there was someone hiding behind a rock, otherwise I'll just head off to the auras off in the distance.

Look around and watch for crows while walking to a gen that might have progress on it

Patrol gens anyways. If there's a gen that's been worked on and lockers nearby. Check them lockers.

I usually search around to see if anyone is hiding around the area and then I go back to patrolling gens.

Patrol the area usually only for relative amount of time if I don't get any results I go and check generators kick them and all that.

Hopping into a locker isn't always readily available for survivors so usually you'll see a little one or two people if you don't that cause for suspicion

I go and look for someone is what I do. It's not like BBQ is even close to being a reliable tracking perk, you have to be used to it not even working at all half the time.

If Barbecue & Chili didn't reveal anyone, there are probably 1+ very close. Look for them.

Look around for the Survivors. If I don't see anyone, then I go patrol the gens.

Static Blast, duh. Doesn't everyone main Doctor? /s

Seriously, though, I always use BBQ along with Iron Maiden. You wanna hide in that locker? Go ahead, I'll find you anyway.

Patrol the gens closer to the hook but effectively proxy camp if I don't find anyone to go after / anything to do

Check nearby gens, if not patrol the rest of the gens to see if anyone was hiding in a locker.

Everyone in the area is usually a great scenario because that's no one progressing to generators for a short amount of time.

I normally take a quick note of how many of the other survivors I can see and where, then act according to what I perceive as a priority (like if they're headed to the hook, headed to.another hook, on a gen I want to keep, on a hex totem, healing, etc). I basically never stay to guard if I don't count all 3. If there WAS a survivor within the hook's range, I'll probably just let em have it - they use up their time by risking the save while I immediately act upon interrupting another action that I know for certain is occurring elsewhere. Especially if I'm running Devour Hope 😈

I thought the same thing for ages until it finally showed up on the Shrine a while ago. I feel obligated to avoid buying Bubba but I'll buy all three of his perks from the Shrine as long as I catch them there.

I do what I always do, go patrol gens, why whould I waste precious time near a hook when Survivors may have used lockers and exited them only to go to their respective gens?.

Patrol gens? There's so many ways to hide your aura lol

Hmmm thought this was a near useless perk. Only good for BP. Doesn’t sound like it coming from killer mains. It’s kinda garbage that stealth negates survivor reveal perks such as kindred. Because so much BbQ causes a lot of kindred. The circle of life.

patrol the area and nearby gens, if i don't see any auras i assume people are nearby

    Go back to patrolling.

Too many times have i stayed with the hook and then have 1 or 2 distant gens pop

Bbq not showing aura's can mean

    A) all survivor are close

    B) they are hiding their aura behind gens

    C) they were in lockers

    D) any combination of the above

Choosing to camp can lose you gens, choosing to not camp at most gives survivors a easy unhook.

Honestly if you don't use it for bp bbq is not that good. If you face survivors that know how to play around bbq the information you get is quite inconsistant
