I won't give up, but please no pennywise
Honestly I love the character in general, but he does not belong in dbd. He is way too powerful for the entity to control or even make a deal with. The movie is loosely based on the book. Especially the endings, so before you guys go "all you have to do is bully him and he dies".

I've never read the books or anything but could you explain how Pennywise is too powerful to control when The Entity has time powers of some degree, reality creation, some kind of dimensional travel since it can visit various realities, some kind of life and death control since no one can perma die in it's realm, physical and mental corruption and I'm sure I've missed more.
The only thing really against it is that it's an embodiment of evil and doesn't appear to be sapient. The Entity honestly reminds of The Black Mass from Samurai Jack which required god's to defeat.
Again, I've never read the books so if Pennywise is some kind of godlike being then I'll stand corrected.

Pennywise is a physical avatar of universal destruction. He was created at the same time of the universe and is only constrained to the form of pennywise because of the way humanity perceives things.

Entity is sapient and known to think. It lets vigo roam free, it was capable of understanding amd choosing Rin over her father, knows the hatch is needed in the trials, and is capable of waiting to take someone until no one will notice. It also manipulated the plague, huntress, and bubba into working for it.

the entity is suspected to be stronger if you know more about it's lore.
It's a multidimensional being that has consumed countless worlds and can bestow upon others abilities that can bend the fabric of space and cross dimensions. If pennywise gets inside of the entity then the entity can start feeding off it while sending an immortal killers after it that are probably immune to fear.
the entity would view pennywise as a child if anything like come on the only way pennywise can even stand a chance is if the entity fears it and why would it? if needed it can just send it's fearless killers after it.

that only applies to the universe pennywise was born in.
the entity can possibly be much older and from it's abilities it's obviously stronger.
So while in the universe pennywise is in he is it's avatar of destruction the entity can pretty much be THE avatar of destruction or chaos of all universes.

Pennywise? I mean the real killer of the novel is the author itself. Hopefully all the kids aren’t put in the game and the only way to escape is for their to be a gang bang on the girl (oh did the movies not cover what’s in the book? That's the movies. They were pretty accurate until the end. The fight between the losers and pennywise was actually much more complex than people know because they base it on the movie.

The ritual of Chud was very important in defeating pennywise. Stephen king himself has said he regretted that specific part and he wrote it in a dark place. But yeah I understand why they didnt put it in the movie. One instance of bad influence does not kill a book.

This is where it gets really complicated because as we know some things about the entity we still really dont know a lot. Such as how long it's been alive or exactly how powerful it is, so while pennywise could be more powerful I could be wrong and the entity is the living embodiment of destruction and evil.

I agree but only because Pennywise gave me my incredibly intense fear of clowns. I struggle enough watching the grim old clown we know and love chase people (and me). His mori is horrifying!

As much as this appears to be an interesting discussion, there is one thing you are forgetting, and that you should always remember in these scenarios: this is a videogame. Even if he appears to be godlike, invincible and almighty powerful in the books, the most important thing about a properly enjoyable game is balancement. Even though DbD still has a long way to go for balancement, on BOTH sides needing nerfs here and buffs there, it still is a videogame. Which means that he would need to be toned down to stand in a videogame. As we all know what the outcome of a game called F13 was, where devs specifically replied to people lamenting how OP Jason was that: "He is Jason, he is meant to be OP". Pennywise is pretty much an iconic character in the horror genre, and if I remember correctly, both devs and players would like to have him starring into this game. Plus, I haven't really played all those videogames, but I guess that Pyramid Head can do much more in the Silent Hill saga than what he does in DbD, right?

You're right this is game and his amount of power is part of my argument. But when I read the book and movies and compare everything. I just don't think he really belongs here. Like I said wouldn't quit or complain or anything, but if they add pennywise they better do it right.
