They are making a lot of money even without dedicated servers
why should they invest money then?
this is called business.0 -
The game was programmed to be peer to peer. Turning it into a server based game is very costly and might not even be possible.3

As long as you throw money at them, there is no reason to go through the trouble of reworking their spaghetti code in order to enable dedicated servers. Too much time and effort would be needed and thats expensive too

Neither of the "this is business" excuses make sense. Maybe the did a cost benefit analysis of whether dedicated servers would increase profits, and the answer was "no", but to just say "they're making money, why bother" is a ridiculously over simplified idea of how businesses operate. Dedicated servers could very well increase profits by bringing more people into the player base and increases profits. Dedicated servers cost money, so if you AREN'T giving money to them, there is no chance they'll happen.
We haven't seen their code, but there is no reason to believe that changing to dedicated servers should be an impossible task. You already have 4 of the 5 participants connecting to a remote host, you switch and have the killer do the same thing and you got dedicated hosting.

No, you probably will not get it. Developers will better discuss the lore of their game on the stream, but will ignore the really important things, like your request, as if they do not exist. But I can give some advice.
Be patient, take lags and hits through pallets for granted, as part of the game world, its balance. (entity obscures your mind and you start to lag, something like that).
Stop playing it and wait for the second part of the game, which will be no earlier than in 6 years. (if it ever comes out.) In the meantime, buy one of the series of the game “Civilization” and enjoy, I heard from one person that this is a good game.

Dedicated servers are not that expensive nowadays anymore.
The expensive part is paying the programmers for doing their job of redoing their spaghetti code. Sure, its not impossible but it will not be easy to change something as fundamental as netcode. The player base keeps growing, money still comes in, but the devs still ignore the biggest issues of the game and prefer focusing on lore etc

Fact is that they have´nt even presented an idea how to fix rank system, SWF balance or dedicated severs.
Those are topics that they prefer to ignore in their Q&A2 -
The last time they mentioned anything about the dedicated servers in their game in the early spring of this year, they gave only one offer. It seems it sounded like "we will think and evaluate the cost." Perhaps in a few months we will hear the same thing and see zero action in this direction. Well, stream about lore or “mash it up!” it doesn't matter, while hundreds of players wait half an hour in their lobbies, fly out of the game and get undeserved hits through the windows. Like pretend that everything is in order with this game. This is normal? I do not think so.
