Should the game implement a replay system.
Never crossed my mind then Truth mentioned and I realized how good this would be for the newbies who in this game will definitely have it rough. Or reporting hackers. They should absolutely apply a replay system. What do you think?

YES. This is the one thing I want the devs to implement the most. Then I could watch the opposite role's perspective and learn a thing or two from how they played against me, and as a survivor I could see what the heck my teammates were doing when I was looping the killer for five whole minutes lmao. It would be very useful for telling if someone was hacking, too. So YES.

It's something that I'd love to have implemented, purely because it would make reporting so much easier for everyone and give the ACM's a much easier time of it if they could pull up a replay of a particular match if it's flagged.

yeah because recording a huge video and uploading it to youtube every report gets tiresome

That's actually a really good point, didn't even think of that. I can imagine it must be really difficult for your team currently to convict a player of cheating with hard evidence if only statistics of each match are saved instead of a full replay.
What would be really awesome I think (from the point of view of a player) would be the ability to save a local copy of the game replay for yourself and have the ability to replay it whenever you want via a special spectator mode hosted locally on your DBD client with options to pause, move your camera and speed up etc. Of course it would be a crazy amount of work to implement, but man it would just be incredible!

It'd be pretty cool to post stupid replays I have, or replays of games that pissed me off in order for people to laugh along or explain a way I could have done better.

This would be great , as it is very hard for killers to learn off of other killers other than playing aginst them as survivor or outside resourses

Yes, would improve the reporting feature they currently have.

This.
Every normal multiplayer PC game of even remotely comparable nature (i.e. two sides of opposing players) allows at least the CS team to replay match data in order to address cheating or harassment reports. Behaviour currently somehow, after almost five years, does not have such a system in place, and continues to put the burden of supplying video evidence on the players who are being harassed or cheated.
Nobody outside of content creators records games.

I guess recording visual evidence i.e streaming not enough evidence?

Not everyone goes into a game expecting a hacker. And by the time they finally got it set the game can be over. It's easier and more beneficial to have a replay system so every hacker can't escape. You act like everyone has easy access to stream.

Would be an awesome feature to have, I'd love to be able to see the match from the another player's perspective

I read this wrong. Change my vote, the ability to review and watch previous matches in your match history would be pretty cool.

The feature would also make it interesting to learn from others, for example I play more hide and seek compared to the nascar style that most seem to do, just running around in circles (best described by Humble Bundle years ago in a bundle page if anyone read that text, I forgot the exact text).
Most of the time I manage to end the chases as a survivor in 10-25 seconds and always wondered where the killer went or what they did in order to try to find me, and how quickly they gave up and moved to elsewhere.
This replay would also benefit both, the survivor and killer to better manage their strategies to match X play style after watching a replay of it.
Not to mention the endless possibilities for content creators, even more so if that replay would feature free camera, following camera from X angle and so on.
To combat the negatives such as disk space the replay could only be downloadable to players for short period of time (a week?), slightly longer for moderation team in case of cheat reports and on top of that get extra retention length if multiple players report player(s) from that game. And in extreme cases you can even save them locally on players machines and either allow game itself to upload files or have players manually upload them upon creating a support request.
And as a side note, I know that the game engine supports replays with various features such as free camera from other games that I play but the file size may get quite big quickly if the games are on the lengthy side. For example one replay file that I have from Rocket League is 2.14 MB and is only 9 minutes and 46 seconds long, no idea if any optimization or changes happened since then, the file itself is from 2016.

I thought you meant a re-match system. Where the match ended and people could vote to replay same players, same killer, same map.
Dead by Daylight is very clearly defined as an Asymmetrical game, one where no match should ever be the same as your last, that's a defining core characteristic of the game and one of the primary reasons that gives it replay value and keeps things interesting. I don't see how such a system would have a place in Dead By Daylight.
