Protection Hits
How do they work?
I take a hit getting someone up. Nada.
I bodyblock and take a hit. Nada.
Someone leads the killer to my gen and I take a hit. Nada.
How am I meant to get 250 of these?

Easiest 2 ways are when a killer is carrying a survivor and at exit gates get in between another survivor when killer comes.

When I block at the exit gates it doesnt seem to count towards the achievement though

But if your referring to an achievement some of those are busted. My trapper one is broke somehow my P2 trapper has only caught 1 survivor in a trap my entire time playing DBD even though I have all his trap challenges from tome 1 done.

The other survivor needs to be injured and you need to be within so many meters of them.
If you are doing the unhook protection hit achievement, the unhooked survivor must be within a few meters of the hook when you take the hit.

You have to pick them out of the trap. Them stepping in a trap or hitting them while trapped won't count.

In public matches, with the Trapper, catch a total of 10 survivors in your Bear-Traps.

You must be a console player. We on PC have to do 100.
BHVR was never good with desciptions. But yes, you have to pick them out of the trap.

With as fast as survivors get out of them against me soon as I'm within range of a lunge I go for it. I will try to grab them off and hope they don't magically start running away like other grabs.

Protection hits works like this:
After passing by a injured survivor(being close to at least 1-2 meters), you will get a "lingering" effect for some seconds, during that time, you can distance yourself from the injured person and still take a hit to get the protection hit, but keep in mind it's just a few seconds, like 2-3.
I never had problems with protection hits after they changed it to this new "lingering" thing.
Also I don't remember if you gain a stack after taking a hit while healing someone in the dying state, pretty sure no.

Reminds me of the achievement that says, word for word, "Escape by bringing a new item to the campfire" I swear to god I spent a total of 30 minutes throughout several games trying to figure out how I could burn an item in one of the fires around the map to escape. And this was when I was new and the game had just came out so I didn't know anything. I seriously thought I could somehow sacrifice and item and it would just whisk me away to safety. Turns out it just wants you to escape with an item 😑
