The Ultimate answer how to deal with KEYS and TOOLBOXES and sweaty looking SWFs
Dodge the lobby! Let them wait for another 10 minutes!

Or you can just suck it up and play the match? Imagine if survivors were able to see killers and their respective addons mid lobby. A lot of you would never get matches if we played by these standards.

... but you cannot see killer nor addons nor perks ;)

I might only be a rank 12 killer, but I never dodge. I will get curb stomped, palleted, flashlight blinded, run in impossible loops, and get zero hooks, but I stay. I like to think I'm doing the sweaty SWFs a favor. Usually when they get in chat after match, they act sheepish about going that hard on a green ranked killer. I know if I were higher ranked, they'd probably tell me to git gud, but instead they pat me on the back and tell me to "keep at it, champ."
Very rarely, one will say something rude before they see my scoreboard, and their friends will scold and apologize for them once they realize. It's great

I got a better answer

afk in that match?
So they NEED to hold m1 for next 5 mins then wait another 10mins.

What you don't get the joke?
0 -
Lol yea that would've worked like two years ago before when they got kicked back to invite but now the survivors stay in the game lobby and another killer appears in seconds

Is using toolboxes really sweat? Don't they last 5 seconds?
1 -
This is exactly what i do when i don't want to deal with it. It's not even a problem since i have to wait at most 1 extra minute.

I suppose he's refering to Brand new part squads or disarm squads with the 1 less hook offering.

It really depends. Just recently we had a video on here where 3 Survivors completed 5 gens in less than 2,5 minutes using great toolboxes, with bnp, pts, btl. As Killer you have no way of knowing whether its something like that or some worn out tools.

Dodging a lobby no longer sends them back to the queue screen, they just stay in the lobby till a new killer joins in 20 seconds
2 -
sweteh survev weh frens are unbeatable ill tell you

Nah, if you really want to be mean, load in and then kill DBD in the processing tab as it prevents the dc penalty. It kicks you all out of the lobby and they have to go right back to the bottom of the queue, whilst you just have to reboot your game.

What times are you guys playing? I'll dodge a lobby that has a key holder and an obvious swf, wait 5 minutes, and que right back into them.
1 -
If you dodge a lobby and queue up again for some reason the game will try and put you back into the same lobby as killer, I guess if you spam this you can essentially filibuster the lobby and make the key holder suffer even if unintentionally

Perhaps its time that changed.

Toolboxes are such junk nowadays I laugh whenever a killer puts on Franklin's Demise to knock a toolbox out of a survivor's hands.
1 -
As a survivor main I'm all for this. I figure any killer that will lobby dodge for those reasons is likely going to be so sweaty the match won't be enjoyable anyway.

From 5am-8am and from 7pm-11pm eastern time zone US, when I get dodged another killer immediately joins I'm rank 1 both sides, Do you have crossplay turned on?
0 -
I play with it on sometimes and off sometimes
0 -
If it's off thats definitely why it takes so long

You can win key/swf/OoO, without significantly changing your play style so there's no point in dodging really.

I only dodge keys. My opinion is that they are unfair and I have very negative experience when playing with or versus key players.
Never using keys, dodging keys be it teammate or opponent survivor.

Correct, thank you dear survivor main for understanding the Killer's pain. As a Killer, I want to have a fun match, use my power, chase different survivors. When I see a person with the key in the lobby, I feel like they are telling me "So we are going to do 3 gens and leave". Hasta la vista baby killer!
Some killers ignore that and lose. Some killers tunnel a person with a key. I personally prefer to camp and tunnel everyone and the weakest first, so that everyone in the match will have a bad experience, but at least I'll be in control.
And the next lobby -- a survivor with a key! But... I want to use my power... chase people... :cryinglikeabitch:

Sorry to disappoint you because you seem to really want to punish people you know nothing about but getting dodged by the killer adds about 12 seconds of wait time to a lobby.
2 -
The only difference being it doesn't matter if survivors see killer perks, because we already been knew what you guys run. Three game delay and BBQ. At least survivor builds offer some variety.

Do people really have these long of que times? I que with a friend at rank 4 and only ever wait between 1-3 minutes in the afternoon

I had a lobby with two keys yesterday as Doctor, instead of sweating or dodging I decided to be friendly. We fooled around the entire match, they let me hook them, I let them stun me with pallets and that kinda stuff. Turned what would have been an annoying sweatfest into a wholesome match :)

The truth, sad as it is, is often quite funny after a while.

Killers: you're not losing because it's a SWF
2 -
I get it good one Franklin. Franklins demise just use that
2 -
I like to stand in a corner. If people want a 5 minute game, I'll give it to them
0 -
Franklins is fun, but you are wasting a perk slot. Experienced survivors are able to find their items, unless, of course you are not going to stand on the item for 90 seconds. To me the reworked franklins is nerfed franklins. The item does not lose the charges anymore. Will you bring franklins for a single item, key in the lobby?

some people here waits for survivor allowance to hook them
some people like to wait in the corner
this is not my call to judge how you are having fun at this game :D

Hate to break it to you bud, but if you dodge the lobby there will be another killer within a minute. The long wait is only to get INTO the lobby, but when you’re there games begin relatively quickly even if the killer decides to bail for a new one.
0 -
they won't wait 10 more minutes. they will get the next killer which right now is about 1 minute max if not 5 seconds. and if you dodge and quickly get back into waiting you MIGHT get them again lol.

Camp and tunnel HARD

YEP, you can do this once or twice in a row, but then it gets old

And people did when they could identify the killer with the log-files.
0 -
During the day time, this could be 5 seconds. During the night time it could be 10 minutes, maybe close to 7 on average.
For killers in my geo location, the queue is almost always instant, no more than 10 sec for the next lobby.

Good times! I am glad now the logs are encrypted.
After some time, you can memorize the cosmetic log lines and the killers it corresponds to, so you don't even need any software to identify the killer, like in matrix, you don't see the code in the logs, but you see Bubba, Hillbilly, Nurse...
Maybe soon I will learn how to decrypt AES encrypted logs without quantum computer :D

🎶Hey it's Franklins🎶...Demise

This is exactly what I'm saying where I am I always see a very short period, usually less than an minute. as a survivor if a killer dodges the lobby i almost never see more than a minute go bye without a killer there. I have seen several streamers have very few issues getting a killer lobby and that is my experience as well
