What is with the terrible ranks I have been getting? Is the mmr on or something?
I have been getting really bad matchmaking. I have been playing against ranks of all colors. The worst game having a rank 15 and 12.

The truth is that I always have bad teammates and I have to be dealing with all the burden myself, whenever I play games like this, I realize that the Killer and I, we are the only experienced here, the most annoying of all is to go down a point in rank until you are paired with players much worse than you've ever had.

I thought it was just me, but I'm seeing streamers getting it too, it seems something is going on with matchmaking right now.

It was confirmed by Mandy that MMR is not switched on currently..
but rank based matchmaking didn’t work for quite some time now. Call yourself lucky that you are experiencing it just now..

There's not enough people playing, especially on the killer side, for matchmaking to be accurate without it leading to ridiculously-long queue times.
Unless the game pulls players back in with future DLCs, the reintroduction of the MMR system won't improve things - we'll see wildly different skill levels across the board, and ranks will be all over the place as they're going to be used for BP rewards only. Will players be properly informed of this in-game? Probably not, which will lead to even more confusion and annoyance.

That's about the same as what I've been getting all weekend, except I'm not rank 1. I'm rank 9.

In my experience one way to mitigate this is to turn cross play off it seems to give me better ranks(I'm a red rank killer going against green and yellow ranks turned on)

While I was playing last night almost every single game I had AT LEAST one survivor rank 16 - 20. Some times they had full tier 3 perks. Some times they had only 1 or 2 perks. Nothing more demoralizing than running the killer for 3 minutes only to find half your team crouched at the outside wall too scared to move. Red ranked survivor btw.

I've been having a horrible time as survivor. Rank 15s, rank 11s, ect, whilst I'm at rank 2. It's really painful as these people are still on the 'su[er scary' phase, so just run for the hills when they hear a heartbeat.. Killer has been way more okay.

Sometimes it really feels like killer mmr is on. My strongest killer through most of the ranks has been Billy and every time I run him I get red rank sweat squads and teams full of players who are just better than me. Play killers that I don't play as often, rainbow ranks and fairly easy games. Just coincidence I guess.
