Opinions about Pallet Freddy?
I play Fred every now and then, and I always go with the pallet add ons. Sometimes I get nice comments, and other times survivors give me every insult they have in their mental capacity (I've been called a "poopoo bear")
So I figured I'd ask you guys what your opinions on pallet Freddy are. (Mostly in terms of how annoying he is with them, but in terms of viability is fine too)

I'm indifferent if it's a pallet Freddy or snare Freddy, but snares are stronger to be honest. Freddy is a very easy killer to play so I don't like facing him, whenever I go down I don't feel outskilled. It's sad calling people insults for the design of a killer in the game though.

I've tried playing pallet Freddy for a bit but just rarely seem to get use out of it, so I stick with the Dream Snares instead. If I wanna be a douche about pallets I play Doctor and Shock Therapy Survivors right as they run to a pallet so they can't drop it (the occasional Illusionary Pallet also comes into play from time to time), or play Legion with Iridescent Button, destroying every pallet I vault. Pallet Freddy doesn't warrant hate mail imo but Survivors get pissy about anything and everything you do better than them or that puts them at a disadvantage so, MEH! 😂

Weak. Dream pallets are a straight Downgrade compared to Snares. Freddy cannot use them to efficiently impact in a chase unless he had prepared the area before. They transform Freddy into a trap killer whose traps won't work against awake survivors. The only benefit compared to other trap killers is that he doesn't need to stop to lay them down.

Actually kind of fair. Pallets have decent counterplay and the killer has to be able to... Well, to play M1 killer.

Its more fun to go against but weaker. It somehow has a higher killrate according to Almo somehow

The only good thing from the freddy rework is the pallet add on. Snares are stronger by far but pallets are just more entertaining. Especially against newer players who haven't memorized all the maps.
Either way i miss og Freddy.

Absolutely detest it. I think it makes for a very boring and un-interactive gameplay, since for the survivor every pallet is just a coin toss and for the killer its just M1ing while survivors play themselves. And no, memorizing every pallet position while awake is not an effective counter when you're solo.

He's fun, but way weaker than Snare Freddy.

Objectively weaker.
Yet I am far more terrified of Pallet Freddy because my teammates will inevitably pallet loop him into oblivion, leaving me to look like a fool when I die throwing down one (fake) pallet.

Very weak, and really boring to use after the first couple times. The power is pretty much just point and click, even worse than Snares. Gets super old just like the rest of Freddy.

Pretty weak.

In my opinion much weaker. He becomes completely dependant on basic M1 mindgames in his chases as any good survivor will memorise real pallets before they are put into the dream world. Versus normal team of potatoes, he'll still dominate as they'll fall for the fakes but vs a good team, he becomes a pushover.
Having strong mobility and some stall is as good as useless when you can't catch anyone quickly enough and just keep eating pallets till all 5 gens are done.
Snares are essential part of Freddy's success, he's as good as he is beacause he's good enough chase ability and also moblity. Remove one or the other and he becomes as good as Clown. Still, I can't deny the pallets are reallly fun to use which is a good quality for an addon.

Same here, I always use fake pallets, never got any insults for it though

As a Freddy main i only use pallets when I want a meme type game. Im consistently in the red ranks. I can tell you against a SWF in the red ranks once they know its pallet Freddy they throw pallets early and sometimes just throw them randomly
They will also communicate to their friends over comms its fake pallets.
It puts you at more of a disadvantage. It is super fun tho to play. If you want to do better its probably best to run snares.
