I recorded the queue times for survivor vs killer my past 25 games on each side

Recorded during the times 1 - 12 PM Central standard time, same for killer. Region: NA

This was solo queue. It is even worse for SWF groups.

Survivor queue times:

5:03, 2:48, 5:48, 0:16, 6:08, 4:37, 5:45, 5:33, 5:58, 2:05, 3:14, 3:06, 5:57, 4:56, 7:01, 5:44, 2:49, 5:23, 6:35, 5:59, 6:56, 6:59, 4:33, 7:11, and 5:53.

Killer queue times:

2:07, 1:42, 0:36, 1:31, 0:55, 0:42, 0:28, 1:02, 0:49, 0:27, 0:31, 0:22, 0:16, 1:04, 0:52, 0:07, 1:30, 1:03, 0:37, 0:20, 0:30, 0:22, 0:56, 2:01, and 0:39.

I think it is safe to say that queue times are stupidly long for survivors. It felt like my survivor games went faster than the actual queue itself

I know, for example there were a few times where my queue as a survivor were under a minute. Even with mid day being the best time, it still sucks on average.

..Thats not long at all. You're just hella impatient. Yes killer que takes less b/c there are less people playing it, versus filling 4 survivors per match.

Go que up other games and you'll know this. OW Comp mode takes a good 3-7m on average, LoL takes 3-6m, WoW BGs take 5-10m, WoW arenas take 2-5m (depending on your rating). When it gets to 10 minutes+ consistently, I'll say you have a good point.

This still is a huge difference in queues, most times i dont believe people who say survivor queue is so much longer than killer.(I dont play survivor anymore) but IMO its not the most wait time for a video game( looks at dps queue for overwatch) thanks for the information.

Almost the same for me, but it only starts taking 5-6 mins after 7pm. Before that is always instant

If there is too many survivors, why are killers queues not always instant? They are slow too.

What I noticed is my survivor queues are almost instant AND my teammates are (almost always) awesome if I play survivor in the morning [EU].

I seriously escaped nearly every match yesterday morning and had lots of good loopers in my teams.

However as soon as it gets a little late survivor queues become pure torture. They take up to 7 minutes after 8pm and the teammates are mostly bots that do nothing all game and go down in seconds.

My killer queues are always quick. The slowest killer queue I've ever had was 2 minutes. Other than that they're pretty much always instant (less than 10 seconds) or below 1 minute if it's in the morning (when survivor queues are quick).

I dunno if anyone is really saying there are "too many" survivors (if they are this makes no sense tbh) but that there are way more Survivors than Killers. Survivor Queues are usually longer because there are fewer Killers, but there aren't so few that they get instant queues.

    ---

Sometimes I get instant queues with Survivor and sometimes my Fiance gets instant queue with Killer. It depends on the time of day really, but the only time Killer's wait 5+ minutes is when a new Killer comes out.

For survivor? oof, if you would be so kind as to record a bunch of your times that would be appreciated so everyone else can see how ridiculous they are.

Midday is a great time to play for queues (CST), but the "quality" of play is generally low.

I'm a Rank 9 Killer... before 5PM I face a lot of "potato" crews, after 5PM things take a turn and its 4 man reds sometimes 3-4 in a row.

I'm a rank 14 Survivor (solo)... before 5PM I'm usually the highest rank in my group facing a 15-20 killer, after 5 PM I'm always the lowest rank and the killer is always higher rank than me.

Oh yeah, they're really bad sometimes lol.

I'll definitely try & record my wait times though. I'll probably just make another comment to this post when I have them.

They like to feel better than the killer in cases where they just try to bully them, and then get upset when they are unable to. At least the toxic survivors do.

Oh no, not Prove Thyself! They might save like 15 seconds over the course of the entire match D:

That 15 seconds can actually come in clutch more than you think. And with BNPs and toolboxes, that adds up to a lot more than just 15 seconds. Try running it for a few games.

I'm not saying it's actually bad and I do run it from time to time. It's alright. Still, it's just a substantially weaker effect than meta or meta-adjacent perks they could have been running instead, so it doesn't make much sense to complain about survivors running it.

Not that it makes sense to complain about people running perks and using items that are in the game regardless, but still.

Yeah, even though its effect can be strong, other perks like adrenaline are still more useful.

Killer queues are instant here in the US too, at least in West, no matter the time of day. Can’t say the same for survivor queue times.

When I first started playing this game, I sometimes had to queue 15-20 minutes to get a match. I remember, because I used to read and listen to podcasts while I was waiting. Ever since cross-play, the times have been amazing. Five minutes is nothing if you queue up and then do your bloodweb and stuff while you wait.

    Central Europe.

When i play survivor from around 05:00 - 12:00 am, i get instant lobbies. On all other times, i mostly wait 2-3 minutes and killer is instant.

My survivor queue times are brutal. Often 10+ minutes, more if I'm with people. Really frustrating as I play killer 75% of the time, but sometimes want to have a chill game or to play with friends on the rare occasions our schedules line up. I never get over 30 seconds for killer. Both at red.

Not sure where you're at, but that's not the case for most people, apparently, and not for me.

Central Time Zone, North America. I play a lot, and at all times of the day. Morning (6 AM- noon) -- pretty much instant. Afternoon (Noon-6 PM) -- same thing. Night (6 PM-midnight) -- instant. Early morning (Midnight- 6 AM) -- instant. I was playing games at 4-5 AM my time and was getting instant matches, loading into full lobbies with everyone already readied up. I've been playing consistently since last April, and I can count on my hands the number of times I've had to wait more than a minute for a match as killer, and I might have fingers remaining.

Survivor times, however? I play with a friend as a 2-person SWF. At night (7 PM - 1 AM), it's so bad, we joke that we're playing lobby simulator. Daytime survivor times might be better, from what people have said. But killer times, at least in my area, are a game whenever you want one.

I'm from west coast US and killer ques take 10 seconds tops. Survivor ques can take 3-10 mins.

When I play in the early morning (like 0500 CST) the survivor wait times can be less than killer. In the evening, it is always faster for killer.

So just most EU survivor players are good? lol I only ever hear that they are skilled

It's a mixed bag as with any other region I suppose. I've only recently noticed how much better random teammates seem to be in the morning myself.

Had some amazingly coordinated 4 man escapes with other players including some EGC rescues. I almost forgot how different the survivor gameplay feels when all survivors know what they're doing.
