What exactly will satisfy survivors?
I just played a game as gf with ruin undying against 4ds, two instaheals and a key. It was a bit of a struggle and I only managed to get 2k. But apparently that just means I'm hot garbage and deserve to kms because I run ruin undying? And ds is only anti tunneling that works perfectly and not being abused
Already uninstalled the game, honestly had more fun watching Otz videos than playing this dumpster fire

People are always upset when they lose. There was this great Reddit post a while back on r/deadbydaylight and it talked about the psychology of the game.
In a nutshell, the reason people get so upset is because losing in this game is very humiliating because it feels good for the other side to humiliate each other. It's generally worse for Killer because Survivors usually have 3 others to back them up, but Killers have no one.
That being said, there are toxic POS on either side. I'd suggest turning off the chat, but I personally enjoy seeing people get so worked up over nothing. It's kinda funny.

Don't pay attention to people like this they're miserable in real life so they take it out on random people online.
No matter what they say just type Gg wp :) because that will annoy them more than anything else you can say. Remember they're looking to get a reaction out of you so just don't give them what they want.

• Remove mindbreaker, exhaustion effect is outdated this is too overpowered
• Remove blood echo, don't wanna deal with it
• Remove hex the third seal, it applies the OP blindness effect for low effort
• Nerf spirit, nerf freddy, nerf oni, nerf blight, nerf nurse. just nerf anyone that isn't basekit wraith
• Remove bamboozle abusing infinites actually takes skill
• Remove devour hope, cause boring
• Remove noed, cause boring
• Increase gen repair speed by 200% for every survivor that dies

Do not listen to this person. Their demands are outrageous and even if we fufilled all of those. They would find something else to complain about. This is the kind of person in your end game chat.

Still never have been toxic messaged after a game by a killer. I could imagine if you tbag or do other behavior during a game.
Killer can't be toxic. And no, Face camping or tunneling is not toxic.

Killer absolutely can be toxic and to say otherwise is to be naïve. Camping isn't toxic but facecamping is.

The one and only good thing I find about cross play is they can't talk to me.

Survivors will not be happy until there is a game mode where the Killer is an automated bot that will eat all of their pallet stuns, chase them mindlessly, and only sporadically do a basic attack so they can heal and farm points with it.

I'm sorry if I'm falling for some bait here (I've certainly seen people genuinely say what you're saying, though), but I've DEFINITELY gone against PLENTY of toxic killers. I'm not counting the ones who fire back (if another survivor starts something, killer has every right to say something back and it's not really toxic IMO) or the ones who are responding to something toxic someone did in game, but there is a huge amount of very rude killers who will be rude to survivors for literally no reason. You're just very lucky if you have never run into a killer sending toxic messages for no reason because killers who do that 100% are out there and not uncommon at all.

What would make survivors happy? A realistic way to physically fight back (and don't you dare say that's what DS is, because it's not). It's completely ridiculous and unrealistic that the only thing a grown adult can do while being carried off to their doom is wave their arms like a petulant toddler being carted off to bed.

If people acted like [smart] adults, horror movies would end about two minutes in. None of it's meant to be realistic.
Anyway, the pallet mechanic is already ridiculous enough. It's like DbD doesn't know if it wants to be horror or slapstick comedy.

It seems obvious but i wouldnt bet something on it. He could just said in the last sentence just joking and it would have had the same effect. But he didnt. Sure it could be a troll and i wouldnt never say i believe its serious, but i have seen things on this forum, where people said something similar.

This is actually very interesting and you're right about the balance because as survivor its a team effort so easier to blame whereas killer its just you.
Part of it as well is the sort of dbd cycle - there was a time I cared about what survivors thought about my performance, not anymore though. I think OP has yet to get to this stage.

There will come a day when you don't get wound up by what survivors think. It won't be today but the day will come. My advice is; they're toxic survivors, they lost and toxic survivors can't handle that. So they will look to any excuse. Once you realise that DBD will become more enjoyable for you.

It can be. Especially when you, the killer, hit me under the hook. It sit in my face. Especially if I didn't flashlight spam you or t-bag you.
Every situation is different. If you don't think it's a pattern and a problem I'd suggest play survivor for a while and see from our perspective what it is we're REALLY fighting against.
Personally, I don't mind one or two. But every other match? Especially if I get hooked 30 seconds in and camped through all phases? Deranked, depiped and make NO points? It's not about getting good. There's nothing you can do if you a) can't jump hook because you have a 4% base chance b) don't have access to antitunnel perks and c) it's a point block. You aren't getting points, I'm not getting points, #########, unless I'm playing like a dick, is the point?

That chat just shows you complaining about DS and "insta heals" which aren't insta anymore. And a survivor complaining back about ruin undying.
So why is it ok for you to complain about ds and healing and they cant complain about ruin + undying? I dont see the point of this post.

I have been messaged really awful things by killers before, just yesterday a killer called me a f**.

Teabagging and camping are completely different. One simulates a sexual act and is often used in the exit gates to signify how much the killer sucks. The other is just a poor technique but is not an "insult". Not sure how you compare the two. Even flashlights and other SWF behavior isn't toxic. Toxicity is when the gameplay elevates to insulting behavior - like when the SWF team surrounds you flashing their lights repeatedly because they think its funny and are essentially just taunting.
I have 100 messages from survivors over the past 6 months, and 0 from killers, and I do play a fair amount of survivor as well. Not sure what you are doing. Were you in a team that was SWF/excessive flashlight blind/prevented a single hook? Then maybe I could see it. Either way there's no evidence that it's a problem like survivor toxicity.

Something that I find funny, "just eat the 5 sec stun" unless math isn't your forte or you don't know math, those 5 seconds turn into almost 25 just holding W maybe more.
But I'm tired of the ds/ruin/undying topic, I just read this thread because it was funny.
OP, just ignore people like that, they think that the killer is supposed to not use perks or anything.

You didnt say camping you said facecamping. They're different. If clicking a flashlight is insulting so is the killer staring at me while I'm hooked.
There is enough evidence if you open your eyes and have a good amount of hours in this game.
Only seeing what you want to see isnt a valid argument.

That's why I left the game some months ago as a main killer. You'd have to tweak the actual core of this game in order to balance it.
The mere fact that it's 1vs4 will always leave the killer at a disadvantage, unless killers are overbuffed. That's a fact I learned after years of playing.

This is why I occasionally bring up the surveys and what their thoughts are on the questions they've asked. Toxicity has been brought up in at least one survey.
For the record, ######### talking does not bother me at all. Tbagging, pointing, flashlight clicking. Nope. I've played against worse in real life so this is nothing. However, I can see how the ######### talking can get out of hand in endgame chat and I truly believe that this as well as a combination of the above can make people not want to play the killer role.. which they have also brought up in surveys ("Would you be willing to switch roles if queue times are long, and will BP help with switching sides" -- or something like that). There has to be some kind of link.
So, BHVR knows DBD has a reputation of being "toxic". Are there any plans to do anything? I think one way or another they should address it. They asked about it-- might as well tell us what they think about it too.

First off I have to mention that at least in my eyes gg doesnt have the same meaning as good game. For me gg is a decent game.
- If you win at 3-5 gens with 3-4 people dying it isnt a gg.
- If you slug to get 4th person without knowing where that person is not a gg ( except for achievements).
- If you constantly slug at 5 gens not a gg regardless of how many people escape.
- If you bring a mori not a gg regardless of how many people escape.
- If you camp/tunnel for no reason not a gg.
- If you use spirit with stridor not a gg literally uncounterable vs a good spirit.
- Probably few more ...

Realistically you shouldnt have a good game all the time. If all of the matches are gg's are any of them actually good...

You're always gonna have people who complain no matter what you do. I remember awhile back dominating a team as OG Bubba, just for one of em to start giving me crap that I should play a killer that actually needs skill. Fortunately that time (as well as quite afew others) the guys own teammates actually chimed in to tell him to STFU and that he got outplayed fair and square. You can't please everyone, so my best advice is to just remain civil in the endgame chat and maybe just leave things with GGWP.

Right there with you. I uninstalled just the other day as a killer main and I think its for the best. Dbd never made me happy, the biggest emotion I got out of it was anger.
I think it might be a game to enjoy from afar. Its fun to watch other people play it, and maybe jump in every so often. But not to really get invested.
